skiing in scotland sucks ass, if it snows they shut the lifts, if theres more than 100 people skiing they stop selling tickets, if its good weather they dont groom, and the off piste is hopeless unless you go hiking. All we have is europes biggest dryslope, wow what an achievment! the shops here suck too which is why i get all my shit from the US. big shout out to anyone who actually keeps skiing here though...respect!

I ski in scotland, it's made me the skier I am. I can ski crud and in crap conditions, so when in good conditions ripping is easy. Our parks are beggining to get a bit better with Cairngorm and Nevis having decent park and the lechts not too bad. SOme really good riders here too, I saw a boarder pulling a rodeo onto rail at cairngorm last sunday.

i want some info about skiing in scotland....

i am studying abroad there starting in august thru december and was hopin to get a few runs in if the hills are open. how many resorts are there? are they close to glasgow? when do they open?

skiing is scotland is rough. wind rain and shit visibility. but when you get a good day it rocks. snow is usually wet or bullet proof. if your going to be in glasgow, glencoe (if its open) and nevis range are your best bet. check out the back of nevis for some fun!!

if you need a quick fix during the week dry out the dryslopes at bearsden and bellahouston park. there are freestyle nights at both. way more hardcore than any of the gangsta wanksta's in canada and the US. falling on that shit hurts. if your studying your uni will probably have a ski team. good times there with loads of drinking and, well you know the rest. it will make you a better skier cos you can handle all the different shit conditions in one day. have fun

Scotland has the best pubs for apres ski. Everywhere else is fake pubs.

Actually, had a ripping, sunny powder day at Aviemore (spelling??) once. One day maybe I'll go back.

Everyone is slaggin scotish skiing but i live in aberdeen and am a regular at the lecht and glenshee(ski resorts in scotland) and the past month ive hade some of the best conditions ive ever seen in scotland, lots of powder and natural launches everywhere, i would never book a holiday there in advance as its so unreliable but i you live in scotland then it is definatly worth a few weekends
