According to the movie: Pastrana had a challenge where a group of guys all formed into different teams. The team who could bring back the burliest footage wins some cash.
In the movie, it also shows the 'ramp van' where the guy on the bmx bike jumps over a van coming straight at him with a ramp on the front. It didn't go as planned and he ended up getting shot up some 20+ feet high and landing hard on the concrete.
