i sant to know how to hack into computers... any help?

get PHLAK (Professional Hackers Linux Assualt Kit) then play around with it and learn how to use it. your not going to find a how to be a hacker book or website so quit looking hacking is about finding out how things work seeing what runs under the stuff to expirement so telling you how to be a hacker would be stupid.

Now I have a fealing that when you say you want to become a hackor you want to be one of those cool guys in the movies who go to hip clubs get tons of chicks and can go up to any computer type really quickly and can control every weapon in the world.

you gotta understand how computers work first. you cant just... hack. it's like hotwiring a car when you have no idea what wires do what. you can just go in, fiddle around with the wiring and all of a sudden the car starts. if hacknig were that easy, there would probably be no more internet.

I own my own computer business and have worked alot with security.

As far as this hacking thing goes, 90% of hackers don't do it for malicious purposes. Hackers are hired by companies to help test and secure their system's vulerabilities, for the companie's protection. Or another great portion of people know it just for the fact of knowing and haven't done much with it.

To be a 'hacker' is much like what the other people said.. You must first know the ins and outs of computers. Learn everything you can. Also, computer security would be a huge thing to look into.

http://www.packetstormsecurity.org/ is a great source to keep up to date on system security and updates.

Essentially, in hacking, all what you are doing is looking for loopholes in a system and exploiting them.

A good rule of thumb too is that anyone who claims to be some elite hacker is most likely not.

 
duhh computer security...

Most people who post claiming they can hack can't actually hack. They may have learnt a few things about computers and internet protocal and if they've done any damage or harm to someone elses computer they've done it by trial and error or by complete mistake in which case they usually get caught for it eventually.

script kiddies typically use someone elses code and programs to break into peoples machines. they dont really understand how or why things work. they just use the tools already prewritten

thats what hacking is. succeedding to do things via trial and error. learning something in the process. succeeding to do something using trial and error is in no way a bad thing. causing mischief using hacking is bad so dont.

Rent the movie hackers, they hack things in that movie and make things happen. I'm sure if you watch it like 1000 times youll be able to figure something out.

I love how in movies hacking is all about typing really fast and saying things like:

ouhh their tracking me

let me try to evade them.

snd then they just disconect and their safe.

even if they proxy if someone wants to track their Ip adress they can track the persons ip if they dont delete the logs. second off even if they do erase the logs they can track them while deleting the logs, and seing as how password recovery is hard enough on a local computer so on a far away server it would take alot of time. then even if they do delete the logs it is always possible to recover logs.

point is if you guys are going to become L33t hax0rs remember there is ALWAYS a way to track you down. the question isnt "can they" because the answer is always yes the question is "is it worth the hasle, time, energy, and probably money for someone to do it" because if your a good black hat hacker you will make sure that the answer to that question is no.

for example if you hack/crack average Ned's personal web blog (fictional site I think) and change one of his entries to "I am gay" I dont think ned would do anything more than change the entry back and change the password to the site administrator. on the other hand if you hack the CIA website and you make one of their private sections public and thus comprimixing national security then you better cover your trail and hope that your ISP fights them in court for your privacy when they come knocking at their door with your IP adress asking for the identity of the owner of the IP adress.

just some advice for all of you guys. if you want to have fun or a challenge "being safe" do what I do use an old computer as a server put some protections on it and see how long it takes you too get into it.

have fun, be safe, and dont mess with other people its childish, stupid, and pointless.

 
I too am curious as to how far you went with this idea that you probably had while seing some hacker on television or in a movie.

what do you want to do exactly? we have novell client at our school you can get a linux distro that runs of the CD boot off the CD and use the computer with no limits other than the restricted site which are limited by a school distric firewall (not local)
