Hacking Wikipedia

I kind of hacked into wikipedia to change their article for "twin-tip skis." Note that the reason I did not write a longer message or gave a shout out to one company is that I don't want to draw attention to myself.

Also, search clams if you are intersted for more messages.

I know I probaly fucked the link up, but just copy and paste.

Yes, as a source for a school paper they aren't the best source, because it hasn't been around long.

But on well-established topics, wikipedia has the same accuracy rate as any other encyclopedia.

Ok? So that makes it the worst? I haven't done a research paper in like 4 years. Its the best site for finding out information on random subjects. Anything you're ever curious about all you have to do is look on wikipedia and it'll answer just about any question.

Oh, and mark my words, it won't be long before it becomes a usable source for research papers in school.

what you do with that is get the sources from wikipedia and/or the base information, then research the base information and find other sources that you can say you got that information from. it's like a little stepping stone/booster step for me.

someone should legitly edit the twin-tip page really legitly, you know, full on sections and links and really good information.

i use wikipedia in college. according to some teacher there, they said it has less errors than a regular encyclopedia. dont know how they figured that out

college professors hate Wikipedia more than anything. And even if it is for you common knowledge, who's to say that it's credible. Sure it's a base for something, but it could still be blatant lies.

no way wikipedia has fewer errors than a regular encyclopedia; maybe counging spelling errors, but real information errors? no way.

and as long as you research the base information and figure out if it's correct or not you're fine.

Wikipedia articles have to cite their sources. Scroll to the bottom of most wikipedia pages and you'll see all the sources cited. If you're worried about the credibility of wikipedia, then go to the sources cited by the article.

Errrrr you serious man?

I use wikipedia at least once or twice a day whenever I want information on something. Yeah, its not "credible" enough to use as a source on some papers, but in general it's the most current and accurate source of information.

I LOOVE Wikipedia.

haha Nicely owned

Meh im in highshool i dont give a $*** about my research so i use it on ISU's if its allowed.

Actually now that I think about it, it probably was. In that case, I apologize, that was rude of me.
