Hey, if the weather holds up were putting on a slopestyle the 2nd weekend in april, saturday the 11th. 20 buck entry fee, money to be split between the top three skiers. There will be some other prizes for best air,rail, ect as well

put up a response if your interested. its only gonna happen if theeres intrest, and we have some decent weather

ill throw some more info out if anyones gonna come, and we have a park left

one division, girls and guys compete side by side, 20 dollar entry fee, top three winners take the money. there will be some small prizes, goggles, t-shirts, and some other small things

what would matter if it was rider judged? its not ripping off the mt snow slopestyle comp at all....more comps a season are a good thing

its judged by myself, and all local riders that arent competing for the day...i might still let all the riders pick the best skiers...u get points in categories, amplitude, technical ability, and style...so u get an average score for your tricks, ect

its definately still on, i talked to Rosie at killy (the park guy) and he says were having a park for the 2nd saturday in april

so heres the final deal

20 dollar entry, 1st place takes half the cash, 2nd and 3rd split the other half

individual swag prizes for best trick, best rail, and best yardsale (goggles, sunglasses, cases of redbull, t-shirts, ect)

all the money goes back to the riders, we dont keep any ourself. its a good oppertunity for u guys to get some cash and swag, and for killington to get a decent comp, and for us to get more shots for our movie

everyone respond if your going to come, its gonna be a pretty sick deal, just hit the park all day and session everything, and for u guys to get some swag

im gonna set the comp up for noon, so if u need lift tickets, u get hooked up for the half day rate instead of a full day which really isnt worth it

update: if for some reason killingtons park goes to shit, and okemo is still nice, im gonna move it there, but right now, the comp is at k-town, 2nd saturday in april, 20 bucks

H3O, you need a game plan my friend. you should have everything set up before you start saying everything. those are my words of advice. i think you should just make some calls and get some non local judges. mix shit up. you should work with Kmart and set up some deal with lift tickets cuz you realize how much the comp is gonna cost everyone?

we do have a game plan, judges from local riders not in the comp,as well as rider ballots...the park crew, and the owner of Freds freeride

everything is set... and bibs still dont get you up the lift for free, and killington wont set up just a PARK ticket for the comp...so thats basically how it goes

and to the kid who says were posers, just wait till the movie comes out, and you see...im not gonna be a 'name dropper', but 90 percent of the skiers are big name skiers, ie: in freeze, other movies, ect...so whoever this kid is that has no idea who i am, but supposedly KNOWS that im a poser, just stop posting

is the park going to be closed off that day?

and it is my experience that one out of the three lifts accessing the park will not have ticket checkers. but be careful, Killington fines big time.

No way you are gonna get even a handful of kids to pay a half day + $20 for a comp like this. If it was gonna be that ($60 or so entry fee...) then you need some serious prizes. I can perhaps make it up if its only the $20 for entry, i'm sure i can bring up a bunch of kids too.

im moving it up one week, because the weather in the middle of April looks pretty sketchy unfortunately, some major rain coming in

April 5th (saturday)... 12 noon at the large rainbow rail on Snowshed. 20 dollar entry fee. Rider Judged contest. Winner takes half the cash, 2nd and 3rd place take half of the REMAINING HALF. and to those out there that think im some POSER, or im ripping off Wintertons idea, who cares? its another comp for some kids to make some cash and get some prizes and just have a decent afternoon. i was there at the underground at mt snow shooting, and yeah thats where i got the idea, when i was talking to winterton in the pipe. but seriously, if im ripping that idea off, then the Vermont Open this weekend at stratton is ripping off the Us Open our west. hell for that matter every comp is just copying someone else
