H.I. Yellow or Clear?

I'm looking at getting a new splice lens for night-skiing. It would be used ONLY for night-skiing. I ski at Grouse/Whistler so most of the time it's not snowing too bad, just foggy. I know the H.I. yellow cuts through fog better but is it really worth the extra $$?

HI Yellow or Ruby Clear are both well worth it if you have the extra dough because of how much more versatile they are than the clear lens.

what do you mean by versatile? I would only be using them for dark conditions/night-skiing...

pink irid is the shit, i use it for night skiing at kimberley and i love them still sort of a mirror and they still show tons of depth, and good for foggy/overcast days as well in case you fell like throwing them in mid day.

I hear the pink iridium and the yellows are both sick for night skiing. The yellows are def going to be brighter at night

I use pink iridium at night, however I find that (not use if I'm using the right term) it causes glare from the lights because of the iridium coating on the lens. But since its strictly a night lens, you can't really go wrong with clear (can't comment on HI yellow since I never used it).

Hi-yellow will give you more definition at night than a clear lens which just keeps the wind out. I use fire iridium because I'm too lazy to purchase a hi-yellow

My personal preference would be the yellow. I just find them more useful

pink irdidium would be more versitile and more rare, the lights are super bright when night skiing, so its good to have a lens that cuts down the glare a bit

who gives a shit how rare it is, and hi yellow is sick for non- night skiing as well on cloudy days because you get way more definition from the snow, its impressive how much better you can judge depth with the yellow lense on verses just having no goggles on

Pink is not rare. Oakley makes it for all their spherical lenses. The new pink is 50% VLT. It is versatile in the day. But not that good at night.
