no idea...kids on here that think he is a talentless hack just because he didnt produce well in the wrc despite racing against some of the best driving talent in the world..i forgot how easy it was for internet nerds to corral 650 hp cars that weigh about 3,000 lbs..

dude is just a hoon, he's on the same level for me as pastrana - two dudes who just have a blast doing what they do
 
I am happy that this hasnt turned into a branding battle where only monster athletes or ford athletes can be a part of it. I guess I don't know if pastrana is on DC or not.

how much does it cost to close and insure all the streets used in San Fran?
 
You literally just posted the exact things I was going to.

I couldn't understand how they closed all those streets and lol'd a bit when the gopro went down. Fucking sticky mount fail.
 
its nasty, dont get me wrong, and I have watched it 3 times today, its just if I have to hear one more time about how amazing of a driver he is when he has 4 points total this year in wrc im gonna scream

I like him, I like what he does, i hate uneducated noobs who profess him to be the greatest on earth

that said the video is insane as well as the driving, and makes me want group b back into rally rather than this 300chp bullshit
 
bring back group b and get rid of the fans on the course or atleast keep them like six feet from the road.
 
he is an amazing driver, albeit a different kind from the wrc.

That was real life need for speed, the shit I used to dream of doing playing underground 2 at all hours of the night.
 
Pretty sick, glad that things are still entertaining. I wonder where Ken will stop though, he can't keep making these forever.

And yeah he isn't the greatest rally driver ever, he's really moreso made a name for himself as an "Eye Candy" driver. That doesn't make me mad when people call him great though, he is pretty awesome and has done a good job with the gymkhana videos. Now what really makes me mad is people who think this is all one continuous shot...... No way in hell ever.

theres no doubt that hes a damn good driver, the guys got lots of talent, but when you compare him to other professional drivers, he really is nothing special at all. he found a way to make a living driving awesome cars without having to actually prove himself in competition, nothing wrong with that i guess.

just watching him drive though its like he's extremely comfortable doing massive drifts, but not comfortable when it comes to actually driving the car in the way it needs to be fast. may sound silly to say its harder to control a car thats sliding around less, but it is. controlling a car within that extremely fine line of optimal slip angle is much harder than controling a car in a big ass drift, and sketchier, it just doesnt look as cool.

 
haha thats pretty sad, he made some crazy amateur mistakes. once he got into a rhythm though he was doing pretty well, i didnt really see many missed apexs, and slow in fast out doesnt apply so much when your limited by wheel spin.

 
You know he´s one of the co-founders of DC Shoes right? I don´t think he does the gymkhana stuff to make a living.
 
I would just like so say that rally cross, especially on an x-games stage, is nothing like a gt track race. rally cross is basically all about the start and simply not fucking it up while you're driving. the rest is mostly show.
 
yeah i know, i wonder if he's paying for all this or if he's actually making money at it. he definitely bought his way in, but at this point with the sponsors he has i would bet its at least being covered by his sponsors, not including himself.
 
Go watch some clips of Collin McRae racing, then you'll see someone taking it to the limit not just on some preplanned course.
