Hei guys.I would like to know if anybody is using gym and training during the summer for winter season? And what muscle groups basically and what kind of ?
cheers, any idea is welcome

/Assuming you mean for skiing.

Squats are the most basic.

Stuff for balance like squats on a bosu ball.

Muscle groups are quads, hamstrings, hips, ass.

Don't underestimate how much a strong hip flexor can help with everything.

yes i was thinking exercises for develop skiing.
but do u have like a monthly gym card and stuff, or just doing them when u are bored or something?

i dont even know what u r saying, what do u mean when u said "but do u have like a monthly gym card and stuff, or just doing them when u r bored?

Jay I keep thinking we should start a lifting cult or something....but i know there's a fitness cult that gets little to no traffic unfortunately.
...pointless post. i'm just thinking out loud since i feel like we end up giving advice often

Better just to start a thread, no one goes to cult pages. Jay is jacked out of his mind though haha, a good guy to listen to.

I came to realization that I don't have the genetics to get that huge. I switched from lifting a certain muscle group each day to more of a crossfit style workout and it has made a world of difference. My shoulders no longer hurt all the time, my cardio and stamina is awesome, I am leaner.

In short I would check out,

www.crossfit.com

or if you are in awesome shape,

www.sealfit.com

Great fitness sites.

What do you think Jay?

i was asking that, if u train regulary?
and does it help? specially knee and hip pain after a long day in mountain, will it help to get rid off the pain?and i assume, that stronger legs and body gives more power to perform tricks..

Biking is probably the best for skiing. Works your legs and is great cardio. The only thing you need for skiing besides those is to work your core. Unless you count using your poles to push yourself around.
