ya, i gave up the dream of majoring in graphic design when i realized one, it wasn't worth the money to go to school for it, and two, because theres a lot more money elsewhere. But i do plan on getting a minor in digital media studies....

i'm actually majoring in either marketing management or something with real estate. Aarons the one majoring in film, and his roommate in denver is a serial killer i think

this is interesting because it's sort of backwards in the independent photography world. it's great to be pretty good at a bunch of different stuff and probably much more rewarding, but in the professional sense you need to narrow down to something very specific and create your own niche. it's not like you can't make it, it's just easier to be successful doing specific work because when someone (company, marketing agency etc.) needs a photo of what your doing, they'll find you because your name will stick out as being the "best" or very good at those specific pictures, thus you get a better wage.

so that's my little bit. i'm sticking with photography. i suck at anything in photoshop that's not post picture production... joe can attest to that haha

i mean like "graphic designing" i guess. like "creating things.." and by post production it's usually raw processing, then photoshop with maybe some HDR in the middle. i basically just have everything down really good for just doing photo work.

haha but check out this thing i made when i got CS earlier this summer. first design ever on CS with a little help from joe

HELL YES!

i shoot in jpeg and its fine, i do RAW when im taking like, artsy shots that i want to make artsy, but when i'm just taking pictures at an event and stuff, its not worth the space on the card to shoot in RAW, at least for me. I also shoot in RAW when i don't trust myself to have the right exposure/aperature/shutter speed.

i shoot raw all the time, except for "un-important" shots. If you plan on anything post production you should really do it. And also you should edit them as TIFFs while in photoshop.

jea, i think i might minor in photography

I have only shot a couple times in Raw. Other wise i have just been using fine. Which seems to work just fine....
