me and my firend were having an arguement about this. he says that you have to ask the girl to make it an official boyfriend girlfriend thing and I say that you wait for the girl to ask you. so which is it?

How old are you man? I really don't think you need to ask to make it "official". At least with all of my expiriances, it just kind of develops into that, and we just kind of know.
