to be honest i dont pay that much attention to the details. It goes bang everytime i pull the trigger and ive never had any reason to complain about anything. The 380 on the other hand...bah. Just terrible all around

The trigger pull isnt consistent. Like its doesnt take the same force to pull the trigger the first half of the way back as it does the second half.

The slop is the amount of play the trigger has before it actually engages the sear/disconnector/connector. Some trigger have very little slop and it is a very short, light pull whereas others have a very long pull before it engages and for some, feels very unnatural(myself).

Plus, the particular gun we are talking about is a SA/DA which I am not a fan of for concealed carry purposes.

YMMV

even twice that is still far cheaper than anything else you can find.

north of the border you can get a brick for about 18 bucks cheapest. next cheapest ammo is 7.62x39 corrosive surplus for about .18/round

I feel like those would be extremely awkward to carry around? Also, why do you guys feel it's necessary to have a gun with you? (I'm not against it, but it's interesting to hear different people's opinions)

You get used to it. I am a small guy and can easily carry a Glock 19(not small) appendix inside the waistband and nobody is the wiser.

As to why? Well to put it simply, because I can. Crime can happen any time any day. I don't live in a bad part of town but it is not crime free. I work/spend most of my free time in a big city that is not the greatest. I would like to defend myself if I need to. And if nothing happens(never has)- perfect.

I don't carry and don't really plan to when I turn 21 but I think the biggest thing is being prepared for anything. I understand why someone would rather carry and never need it than really need a gun and end up dead.

Yes .22 ammo has gone up but a 500 round box is still way cheaper than getting a few boxes of shotgun shells. Especially for being a first firearm for someone.

Hey no problem, and the great thing about a Ruger 10/22 is, along with already being a great quality rifle, that you can customize it for whatever use. It's just about endless the kind of upgrades you can do.

I think this is very paranoid. The average American no doubt has a bigger chance of having a heart attack at any point, but people don't carry around AEDs in their cars. In reality it's probably more of a statement to carry a gun than it is for personal protection.

No, they just help people kill more than 1 person at a time. Nuhn ef dis lyberiael hubullshatsquesstt. Tyme ta meaan epp, end take baque ur ryte ash eh merican cityzynee, end ef yuu dant lyke et dan yu can getttt awt.

The sportsman warehouse near me has a 10/22 Tapco T6 stock for 105 bucks. Probable going to get that one.

1. I actually have the T6 stock on my 10/22 - love it

2. I thought sportsmans wearhouse went out of business?

I think they did. they actually changed it to some other name. my bad. But glad to hear you like it!

I have a Springfield 1911. Really want to get a .357 magnum and some type of a 9mm sometime.

Leaning towards a Ruger .357 since my dad has a .44 magnum made by them. Though the Colt Python would be cool too though most likely more expensive. I know the two 9mms I would love to buy though both are expensive as fuck too. Either the Browning Hi-Power or a Beretta M9.

I'd also love to get a Mini-30 though with the 7.62mm ammo they use they are damn near impossible to find now.

Don't get a Beretta. They're not horrible, but they're really not worth buying. It's big, clunky and ugly for a 9mm and the safety is easy to accidentally engage/disengage. On top of that the Hi-Power is so much nicer.

I'm 18 and currently own a marlin 795, a Remington 870, a ruger p95 and a 1942 DDR mosin nagant 91/30. I'm really looking to add an sks, Chinese type 53 or an m44 if I can find a nice one. Living up in mammoth, the range or wherever i want to shoot is only a couple minutes away.

I enjoy shooting targets and skeet. It's entertaining and a good way to pass time with buddies, seeing who is the better shot and what not. I really just enjoy shooting my .22 at beer cans, sounds country but it's a good time.

My girlfriend wants me to teach her to shoot and I can't wait to bring her out. She's from the Long Island and has barely seen a gun let alone shoot one. She gets so excited/nervous when i bring out even my .22 and i think this is where the problem is with people when it comes to guns. They get this idea that guns are evil and guns are dangerous, but they have never seen/shot a gun in real life. Either way i'm just stoked to share a good time shooting with my lady.

nice AMD and SIG 522 (possibly 556?)

Anyways i totally agree, i have been into shooting sports and hunting since i was a child . There is no need for AR15s and AK47s( even though i have owned 2 ARs and 2 AKs in the past) other than for reason of war because that's what they were designed for. i think the paranoia behind these weapons lies within the moral connotations of society and what it pictures as unjust and perhaps evil. i do not for see a potential ban on assault style weapons in the near future.

Lol try hunting pigs with a bolt action deer rifle, its not anywhere near as effective. Also if you really did shooting sports you would know how popular three gun and other semi auto at-15 centric competitions are.

You cant start the whole what we need debate. I dont need skis but i want em because they make me happy. I dont need my ak but i wanted it because it makes me happy. But i do agree, its a war rifle made for shooting people...i use it for shooting cinder blocks and beer bottles instead

i have several rifles including an ar, i have a few 30 round clips all loaded up... just in case.

my favorite is a sporterized 7mm mauser, thing is accurate to 1000 yards no problem.

Will keep that in mind.

The thing I love most about the Hi-Power is how it ALMOST looks like a 1911. ALMOST.

Well went into the gun shop to kill some time today before work. Walked out with a brand new sig 938. Can't say I'm upset with myself
