Hey everyone,

As you've probably heard (unless you've been hiding under a rock for the past month) one of the greatest rock n roll bands of all time (and the most badass in my opinion), Guns N' Roses, is

about to release their long-awaited new album, Chinese Democracy, this

Sunday exclusively at Best Buy.

The commemorate its release, GNR

and Best Buy have teamed up with NS to put on a contest of our choosing that will see the winner score themselves a sweet prize pack, and after mulling it over I decided what better way to show you love for Axl and his gang than

by doing your best Axl Rose impression.

So break out your bandanas,

football jerseys, sunglasses, kilts, spandex shorts or anything else

the legendary front man is famous for rocking on stage, take a picture

of yourself, and upload it over at our contest page (not in this thread) for your chance to win: a copy of

the brand new cd, a GNR shirt, poster, stickers and a $50

Best Buy gift card.

Just like Voleurz's Toestanding contest (which you should all enter as well if you haven't already!), you can vote for your favorite Axl look-a-like and decide the winner, which we'll announce in the forums on Friday, November 28th.

Pretty much already happened a long time ago. And by "they" I hope you just mean Axl, who's a nutcase joke now, everything else that was good about GnR is now in Velvet Revolver.
 
I was wondering if this album release would create some retro contest hype on ns lol

I just hope the album lives up to the 17 years it took to make it.

Exclusively at Best Buy? Fuck that, I say everyone should download this illegally, because the people that are hurt from stealing music are the core music stores.
 
Pretty sure the only person from the original guns n rosses that's in this album is Axel Rose, who was kinda way too cocky and thought he was the greatest thing to ever happen to music. If you wanna hear some real guns n rosses listen to velvet revolver. Although I will go ahead and say the song "sheklers revenge" kicks ass
 
this contest would be kind of cool if axl rose wasn't such a piece of shit and the new songs didn't sound like complete garbage.
 
have you listened to velvet revolver? they have like two good songs and all of slash's guitar riffs have gotten much lazier and more boring to listen to. and like gunsnfuuckkk pointed out, izzy stradlin wrote a lot of guns' best songs. and having listened to chinese democracy, none of VR's songs can compare to axl's new stuff
 
Do I win anything for running away from home and going to my first GNR concert when I was 12 ? In the middle of the field ? Same day 2 people died because of a stampid after Axl shouted something and got up in stage 1 hour late? Best band EVERRRRRRRRRRRRR

 
Having now listened to the album, I can say that the best thing about it is still the clever title re: how long this shit took to come out (ie, Chinese democracy will never happen)... but there are a couple of tracks that are really good, like next level. Definitely a mile past VR.
 
The latter. At least, relative to the genre. I don't remember song titles because I just listened to it straight through.
 
i wont try, cause i would win. and i hate gnr. so i dont want to win. my hair is long enough i just need to take a pic with some sunglasses on and im dialed.
 
Wait, one of the biggest bands in the world, and one of the biggest corporations in the world have teamed up with a skiing forum?
 
I dont think VR is in it to take shit to the "next level". Sure thats what Axel wanted to do but def not VR, those guys are way too humble for that. But whoever said Slash's riffs are getting lazy, who the fuck do you think you are? Just because its simple doesnt mean its lazy. Slash still plays like he did 20 years ago, and he's one of the fucking best in the industry.

first off lets state this is not Guns n Roses!!!!! it is Axl rose plus fags riding on the guns n roses name. and axls voice is done he sounded so shitty like 3 years ago when he and bucket head performed on the mtv vma awards. any way i dont buy into the shit give me slash izzy and duffy first you can have your bucket head and fuck off fuck axl and fuck his shitty new GnR!
 
I can not lower myself to enter this contest so longs as they still call this GNR. This is NOT GNR. So sad.
 
I love Guns N' Roses but i heard their new cd is nothing special. I listened to one of the songs and it was ok. I was a little disappointed but I still love their old stuff!
