Anyone heard of the Gumball 3000? Its a big road race around Europe. Basically millionaires in supercars, its been on Jackass and stuff.

Its starting from London this Saturday, I'm gonna head up and check it out!

yeah that thing looks fun as hell. cus i doubt they care at all about speeding there. and if someone did try to pull you over id think anyone in that would have a fast enough car to out run them. you gotta watch out for those lithuania gangs tho.

 
Apparently last year something like 500 speeding ticets were given, about £10,000 worth of fines. But those guys are so rich they don't even care. Just to enter you have to pay £10,000. And then there's the small matter of owning a supercar!

whaaaaat. why wouldnt you just run? all those guys have ferrari's and shit. i dont think any cop has a car faster than that.

 
yeah i saw that, they were blasting through the desert in some 3rd world country and the cops didnt give a fuck about speeding, a couple people wrecked their cars tho

 
the kid who keeps wondering why the drivers dont run from the police must be a fucking idiot, were talking about eastern bloc countries moron, you dont fuck around with the cops there, because there really isnt anything keeping them from taking out a fucking ak-47 and blowing you right off the fucking road, also think about what would happen when the car that was being chased got to the border, is he just going to fly over the fucking fence and avoid the heavily armed guards with magic or what, come on buddy you have to be smarter than that

they find a different location every year...2 years ago it was in the states...soo many people got pulled over and massive fines. road blocks and stuff. funny thing was out of all the million dollar super cars...it was a jacked up avalanche that won

^theres no way they had that in the us. that would have been stopped in like a second. you are prolly talkin about that thing on mtv which is a totally different thing. and i dont think some guy with an ak-47 is gonna care enough about someone speeding to set up a road block and kill them. common man you gotta be smarter than that man

 
uh...yeah they had it in the states. There is a DVD you can buy. My brother's friend had it, and I watched it. I believe the were racing from west to east trying to end up in Florida. At the end, this guy totalled a Ferrari 550M. They did run from the police and some people got arested for an evening.

yeah that's pretty crazy, but most countries here in europa own some supercars for those highspeed chases. Germany got tuned Audi A/S8's on their autobahn, belgium uses impounded cars like porsche, france... well I don't know about them.

It is possible to enter the gumball even when you're not rich, it can be done with sponsors, but you would still have to put in some yourself ofcourse. I know some people who drive in the dakar rally (not the bigh teams), they are all completely sponsored.
 
yeah dude, shits so sick... there are videos of it all over the internet. just sick ass ferraris and porsches threading needles between semis while they are going like 140.
