also, if you have any other ideas feel free to suggest

i play almost exclusively metal, from sabbath and slayer to death and cannibal corpse

look on craigs list or kijiji and you'll find better guitars that fit ur price range. yeah theyre used, but theyre better guitars.

Well what are you looking for like tone-wise, I know you can get a fender standard strat/tele for $400 but these guitars are more metal-ish i guess. Just look on guitarcenter.com and select price range i think theres like a 300-500 range look at them then go to guitar center or another place and play a couple, just decide which one sounds the best I guess...

wow fuck, sorry for the double post, I didnt see that you said you play almost exclusively metal, fuck, i dont know then guitar-wise, just play some at guitar center I guess and see which ones sound the best haha thats all the advice I have...

Out of the three that you posted, the LTD has the best bang for the buck. Epiphone guitars nowadays are weak replications of Gibson quality. And any BC Rich that is made outside of the US is a waste of money and wood. Check out some Schecters, may be a bit above your price range, but they would fit the bill. Tons of sustain from the mahogany bodies and set neck. Fender makes some solid guitars, however they might not appeal to your tone specifications. Sounds like you want some hotter humbuckers than Fender usually stocks.

LTD are solid guitars, i like them alot and they have a great sound.

The sg if it is gibson is good, i have the epiphone sp? is ok

rad, thanks dudes, my mom says shell help me out if i save up more,so ill probably save for the nice laiho, or an actual gibson

the alexi plays really well, however if i were to get anything LTD it'd

be the explorer. i'm not a huge fan of the 24 fret action. all you really need is 22 + some maad bending action. they're all really light though, which is a huge plus, and the emg pickups are so clean. sick guitar for sure. just be careful with the thing, though. maple necks dry out really easily and get some gnarly bow goin on if you dont stand them properly. i learned that the hard way.
