has a drum set in it. so isnt that not guitar hero, its pretty much rock band. y do all these companies rip each other off
 
it's still sick. i just can't wait for a new guitar hero/rockband to come out. i'm getting tired of the old ones.
 
ummm rock band is supposed to have guitars drums a bass and vocals. guitar hero is suposed to have guitars onlly

The drums are supposed to be more realistic too. Personally i think it's stupid to make guitar hero so much like rock band, but i guess they have to change things up to keep attracting people to the game
 
incorrect. harmonix made guitar hero 1 and 2 and rock band but neversoft made guitar hero 3 and all to come

guitar hero came out with this crazy new idea of this plastic guitar thing, and then rockband just happened to use the EXACT SAME THING
 
i think that its good when companies do this, because it makes them compete to give the consumer a better product. all in all hopefully we'll get some sick games out of it
 
Rockband is such a piece of shit. They charge $150 JUST so you can play drums, guitar and vocals. The graphics and quality of the game aren't deserving of a $150 game. Guitar Hero trumps Rockband any day.

And yes before anyone tries to pwn me, I have played it.

Looks like video game companies are starting to get it though. Sell the game engine and let the masses program the software. Valve has been making bank doing that for years!

It should be interesting to see how they utilize this feature online. I see a shitload of potential with a GHWT custom song database online with different versions of each song avaible for download...Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
 
id hang out for online content just so i could play the drum parts from flaming lips songs, or the guitar from e-pro

cos god knows im too lazy to actually _learn_ how to play a real instrument.

that looks sick although most of the songs are aerosmith, it might get a little boring after a while

shit dude, a while back I invented this thing called a snowboard then all these motherfuckers stole my idea and now its an industry! FUCK THAT!
 
It comes with 3 controllers and a game. What are you upset about? Thats 150 dollars worth of controllers and 60 dollars worth of game for 170 dollars.
 
no not at all that was a very stupid remark because rock band is a whole band so just because they have a guitar doesnt make it the same as guitar hero but guitar hero is supposed to only have a guitar and they are going like rock band and adding drums
 
and its out for the Wii which means i know what im gettin for christmas!

but it looks super sick, i read some article in a game mag about it, and itll be out like in the fall mabye? im not sure
 
i can already make custom guitar hero tracks but rock band sucks in chart quality and gameplay compared to gh3 so im looking forward to world tour quite much
