Guide On: How to get your skis mounted, Your Way!

A fine tutorial.

I've used a sharpie numerous times.

Be sure to get a metric tape measure, and hold onto it. They are hard to find if you want to replace them.

i just found a stack of sticky notes that when placed at recomended, the other end was at 2 cm forward so i just drew a line in pen along the edge so they are both even

Should you measure the length of the ski from tip to tip like you did, or should you follow the contour of the ski (as if the ski were flattened by a steamroller)?

It totally depends on what you want. You can measure the contact area (parts of the ski that touch the snow), running lingth (what I did), or the contour. It will only affect your final mount by a few milimeters though, so I wouldnt worry.
