jon resides in monaco. To afford living in that city you have to have some money regardless. I imagine that with his stature in sweden, his high profile sponsorships(VW, Oakley, that new swedish outerwear company, Head) he's probably making close to a mil in endorsements.

Candide- same deal, but probably not bringing in as much as jon.
 
not true, at the begining of the movement, yes. Now i would say most top freeskiers in the top films make enough to not need to work in the summer.

 
BS. there are no more than 10 guys that can make it per year w/o some other type of income. and im talkin just park skiers, not big mtn.
 
Im not sure that number is accurate...when he signed with Rossi the contract was for 900k for a 3 year contract. Unless it has since been re-negotiated, 300k a year is more accurate.

 
First off, most pros ski in the summer. Southern hemisphere or just camps and such. And yes, the tops pro's in the game do get a 6 figure salary with all of the sponsorships and endorsements. The thing is too, most of them also have their fingers in companies and such as well. Jon developed and designed some of JL's line instead of just skiing in it. Tanner helps run Armada. Candide is a hero in his country, and works with Rossi and Quicksilver no doubt. I guess you could count that as a second job or something... but its all part of the biz, and its hard to draw a line between being sponsored and working for a company.
 
ok so there was no need to quote me if you only named 3 guys. i said there was no more than 10 guys that could get by w/o having a 2nd income. and i said absolutely nothing about the summer skiing.
 
well most guys can make it on small salaries by sacrificing some of the crazy things we waste money on.

doesn't Jon drive a Ferrari or Lambo? i heard those are expensive. it must be rough to be totally sweet as hell.
 
simon drives a cadi cts-v- thsats arond 55 grand new- ples from contest earnings- ski tour and x games alone is close to half a mil+ smaller comps and endorsementas- probably 10 -15 skiers a year that make good money

Other than the very top few guys, I highly doubt many make more than 40 or 50 grand a year. You all are horribly mistaken if you think there are dozen or so pros out there making high 6s. All you have to do is look at the prize money in contests, and a vast majority of pros don't have six figure deals will Oakley and Target.
 
i bet pollard makes a killing from line for all the ski design and influence he's had on their ski's. Line probably takes in more $$ than any other "core" company out there, and he's got helly hansen, dakine and joystick behind him, I'm sure he gets by quite comfortably, not to mention he has a house near mount hood which is serious cash money

his parents are pretty loaded though

but he does make quite a bit from Oakley, Salomon, And Nike i bet
 
No one outside of skiing knows Eric Pollard. He doesn't do any comps. K2 owns Line so who knows how much K2 takes. Sure he's a great skier but I'd be surprised if he made like even 75K a year.

And you guys sure that Dumont makes more money than Tanner? More poeple know Tanner.

Oh and in some magazine said in 2006 Shaun White made 1 Mil. No skier is as well known as him, so yah
 
its john spriggs oh my godnes gracious so thats like 40ish 50ish grand but still ur skiing and making money thats not to bad
