ahhh road rash was the shit!

i played the same race 40 times, winning 1000 each time, just so i could buy a superbike.

i love hearing the old songs i heard back as i was a child again. it brings back so many memories. life was so free of worries. no need to pay rent, study for uni or other shit.

im only 18, but i wouldnt mind being in the 90s again.

i went there

I've been thinking about the same thing for a while now and talking to my friends about that... Crazy.

1990 represent haha, damn i almost forgot about pogs and goosebumps! what about are you afraid of the dark, biggie and tupac

man the 90's were the shit, that was like the last decade where you could be a kid and just fuck around, get hurt, spend all day with no supervision etc.. and nobody gave a shit. once 2000 came around everyone got all PC and ruined it.

so many good memories tho, sleep overs with like 10 hours of straight tony hawks pro skater and tekken. taking like a year to beat metal gear solid. building tree houses, falling out of them, airsoft battles in the middle of the neighborhood. sittin on the curb shooting rocks through my neighbors garage door, not caring.

We spent like a month this one summer when i was like 9 building BMX jumps on this dirt bike path that connected me and my friends neighborhoods, we spent literally all day every single day that summer hitting those jumps, getting like 3 feet of air and being completely stoked to do it. we built forts off the side of that bike path and fucking owned that path, we would light shit on fire, make homemade explosives and scare the shit out of people, blast 90's music on my boombox all day, fight off the kids we didnt like when they would try to use our jumps. those jumps were still there 11 years later, then they had to pave it and make it into some gay bike path with signs and rules and artwork off the sides.

i remember when we first found out about potato cannons and we would try arching the shit out of it trying to hit eachothers houses like 1/4 mile away on the other side of the neighborhood. blasting prarrie dogs. then model rocket engines.. we would set them off in the middle of the neighborhood and watch them fly all over the place, we set up fishing line down an entire street like 3 blocks, and attached random shit to rocket engines. people would yell at us and we just didnt give a fuck.

and soooo much more shit..

as awesome as that was though life just keeps getting better and better. being over 18 and having the ability to basically do whatever you want is the shit. every last summer has been my best summer yet. and my experiences just keep getting better and better. the one thing that keeps getting worse though, is societies inability to cope with fun and danger and non politically correct actions. you cant fucking ride your bike across the street without someone bitching at you for breaking the rules.

what about power rangers?

I was so pissed when i got in trouble and my parents wouldn't let me watch power rangers for a week

Even though this was the late 90's still one of my favorite kid's movies of all time

Yeah I just finished reading a book set in the 50's in a small town in Maine and it seems so care free and badass back then. Ignorance truly is bliss.

What a great show, along with rocket power, hey arnold.... Where have all those great shows gone!!! Now my brother just watches icarly and reruns of spongebob.

dude so many of the same experiences here....i grew up out in the middle of the country my mom would drive me into town to my best friends house and drop me off with a sleeping bag and my bike and i'd spend the night for a week straight....we would bike all around town getting into all sorts of shenanigans...in his housing development there was a huge dirt area/pit for 2 summers straight where we built a sweet bike track...man I remember seeing so many newbs racking their nuts/faces off our dirt jumps, playing ding-dong-ditch, and always getting the guy that would open the door and fucking freak out screaming haha.

like you said now days people are way over the top with rules, censors, getting all politically correct you ding dong ditch someone they call the cops and you'll get charged with attempted burglary or some shit.

The 90s rocked, maybe some day it will come back around and be like the 90s again when we are all close to retirement (haha thats a joke) and we could just live it up all over again.

I remember as kids my friends and I would do something called death races, where we would go down a hill on trikes and wagons, basically anything with wheels, and would try to crash the others vehicle. Pretty much the wagon fucked up everybody. There was at least 3 occurrences of blood shed every time we played. But it was fucking awesome

/images/flash_video_placeholder.pngAlso any Canadians in here will probably remember those weird ass public advertisements on ytv; north american house hippo, dont cha put it in your mouth, im just a tv.
