Grouse

Seymour has been killing it so far, i have been up six days, one in the rain and everyone was super fun.

I went up opening day to grouse and the jib park was alright, ive never been to much of a fan of grouse, but no hate at all.

Couple questions,

Andrew when will you get that down bar out of the corner!?

What are the 2 " top secret" features to be unveiled?

And when in young guns and mystery opening?

And for grouse riders, please beg your park crew to make longer landings on the jumps, and i just watched So Far So Hood, grouse has its own segment pretty much, and its SICK!

Siiick, I'm stoked for this movie now as I was there for a bit of the filming. Ryan Wyble killed the tall rail and the death kink, so sick in person.
 
Apparently there's been some confusion about my previous post calling andrewh a "goon".
I just want to say that I didn't mean any insult by my comment, and that my intention was to advise him that he was getting a bit excessive with promoting seymour's park. I understand that it may have come off as arrogant and bashing andrew, but I want to make it clear that that was not my intention at all.
Hope that cleared it up a bit.
 
Holy shit... I nearly forgot about how retarded grouse was about that "dangerous zone" issue. Now that I see that again I'm kinda pissed. Oh Grouse... Hate the management, but the hill can be fun for sure.
Enough with the seymour versus grouse bullshit. People bitching on the internet isn't going to influence anyone's choice in mountain. Simply describing dope features or showing off edits might. We're all skiers, we're all from Vancouver (or live around there now), no reason for hate. It's winter, aren't we all stoked to ski?
 
Amen, I for one am just grateful that I have THREE sick mountains within an hour of my house. Who the fuck cares which one is the best, I have a pass to Grouse simply because of the fact I can bus there, nothing else.
To each their own.
 
I quite enjoyed the jibs today.

Just wondering I know they're cracking down on tickets this year, and I've heard they will be checking for tickets to stop people from hiking the park, but because seymour is in a provincal park should be allowed to hike the hill for free if we want to.
 
No. They lease it for the winter or something like that, they cant stop you from going to the backcountry but ski area is theirs to govern, although they arent nazis like some resorts. why dont you man up and pay for the sickest park in the area like you would do without hesitation at any other hill.
 
Kind of weak, everything is set up more for snowboarders, not to say that its unhitable, but I personally found it a little sketchy to hit some of the features
 
Well I didn't go in today, but yesterday morning when I was in there the box was set up with a flat kicker, no lip, and about 6 inches below the surface of the box?
 
the flat box that was just a tad up. and i realized how I came off, and i didnt mean it as that it was un-hit-able or i couldnt do it. i meant it as that it didnt have a very good lip as a regular flat box , as a heads up?

they do have some nice features in there that have really nice lips and everything for sure though
 
the parks just been sketch last few days because of all that ice that's all....and i only get up at night...so i only get to deal with ice...but in the day its probbaly not tooo bad

bias? i have spent many nights up grouse this year because seymour doesnt have night skiing. it starts tomorrow tho which is sick. i dont really give a shit about the battle of the mtns and whatever. i ski seymour because the park is sick and theres less dorks there. i skied grouse and had fun, the down pole and dfd rail were sick. didnt bother with the rest, it was whack. before you call me biased go ski the seymour parks, it will speak for itself.
want me to change my screen name from seymour to pete? will that make me a regular individual? i ski at both mtns for free (claim?) so i get to both a bunch. i prefer seymour cuz the park kicks ass. sorry if im biased to something that is better.
