got up at around 8pm todayit was all pretty skied out and choppy but found a nice 10-15 drop off the side of peak face skier's leftpark didn't look too hot and though they have a small 10ft jump its pretty sloppy
Awesome snow for booters though, and if you can find a nice stash you could have a pretty sweet sesh
Also they fucking ran out of cheese so no poutine AGAIN!!! Really fucking pissed about that.

i dont know anyone up there anymore, ive been off skis for like 2 years but this grouse park has me so hyped that ive been up 3 times this week.

last time i went up, it was pretty much the best setup for learning anything and everything on rails

you got the 20 foot box setup down with low jump ons to the side, right beside a perfect down bar same setup lil higher (i stepped out 10 snowstairs on it but some dudes showed up and plowed them) to take your box tricks to once you got em. right above the down rail is a round bar also with a relatively low jump and beside that this fun as hell flat to down box combo for spinning like a top over.

i actually cant picture anything better for getting all your tricks back early season, gonna take some convincing for me to actually buy a seymour pass at this point.

andrew do some convincing, and any ns heads ill be the guy wearing all black with a weird brown hensley holla at me

was up seymour today and for the first time i could hit a great down rail tha was set up perfectly in the pouring rain without ruts/boom holes or the rail falling over
im impressed!
 
seymour park is pretty fun right now but get that bigger down rail out of the corner! its so annoying to get to

cant remember the last time i saw someone skiing down the street either

beside the point though, im all about being in class all day, getting home at 4:30, and riding down rails for a few hours.

expect me up there a bunch once you guys get some night game, until then grouse is what i got and for the first time in years its actually worth going up.
 
Tore a ligament in my ankle, I was wasted running for a cab and slipped and ate shit into the road. The worst part about it is that I have nobody to blame but my drunk, dumbass self.

Okay dude we get it.
We're just stoked on what we have, because its so much better than what we've had in the past.If you're doing this to try and get people to shred seymour its not working, hating on another mountain is not going to get you anywhere. Both park crews are doing the best they can with what they have, and I think its really disrespectful of you to come here and start putting them down.
Personally I think Grouse's opening day jib park was suuper sick, and nothing you say is going to change that so I think you should chill out and go have fun in Seymour's "Better-than-everyone-park", after all why do you care so much that we shred somewhere else?
Stop bickering on NS and go make some turns ya goon.

hey man, I've only rididen seymour out of the locals for the past 2 years. And I love the vibe up at seymour, way more chill, grouse and cypress need to take notes from them.

I'm stoked that seymour is stepping up its game this year, but let the park do the talking, ripping the shit out of other hills (however true it may be) is only gunna cause division between skiers therefore making people less likely to come to seymour.

Its sick that Nike is sponsoring seymour this year, I'd be stoked to see some legit jumps at seymour to save me the frequent trips to whis.

Keep up the hype not the hate.

I'm not sure if you noticed but the "haha" after what he said probably meant he was kidding around. It's great that you're stoked for your mountain and all, but enough with the blatant hating already.

uh, the ski patrol admitted that they were too scared to follow us into the zone because they didn't know where they were going. We walked back to the chairlift on our own. There was no rescue. Grouse Mountain?? probably cool for flatboxes and dfd(s) though.

i think i am just trying to rationalize how skiing embraces everything that is unappealing

and how skiers are the first to jump on the dick of anything that isnt cool

and how that has pigeonholed skiing to this little corner of the web where we can all get off on the latest neon colored bag suits, or the new geek from PA doing double corks, or goofy ass gang signals and afterbangin

Stop hating on each other and just be stoked you have the option to shred 2 parks 20 minutes from your house.
