Grouse 2011/2012

Park was rebuilt yesterday. All the rails up top are changed, added a few new rails throughout the park. Super fun hip put in, snow block step up/step down thing at the bottom

My only skis are missing 4 feet of edge, so I need a new pair of dildos to ride on. Everybody is broken and shit.

Also fuck skiing

upper quik rebuild is done. pretty fun setup.

cut line is close to being done, a couple more days of work and it will be open. once thats finished then lower quik is getting a rebuild too. lots of work happening, couldnt give a date to everything being done as im not sure when we're going to be getting more cat hours, but hopefully by mid-late next week.

straight up no staff besides upper management know. close date is set for the end of april (28th i believe) right now, but that was the case last year too

lower rebuild done and the second hip landing got reshaped as of today. so much fun, so many good features. battleship box is definitely a favorite

im on weekends normally, so i dont get to do a lot of building, just get to toss in ideas from time to time. the rest of the boys did a great job and i'll pass on the good words

Any word on closing day? Last I heard "official" closing day was 29th.

I'm sooooooo nearly done finals. What a hellish year. Can't wait to get some days in

like %50 of the features fell over and the rest were unhittable without some serious work today. 3 days of warm rain on an already difficult to maintain park is not good.

one rail line got opened today, hopefully will get everything up and running for the weekend.

Grouse got 25cm in the past 7 days! Thats insane. Also new cut park right now consists of: [LEFT SIDE: 1 Down box, flat box, down box rail.] (MIDDLE: Down flat rail, close out rail with a down rail on the left of the close out, down rail.) There is also a down paneless rail sort of off to the right of the middle and also some little wall ride box thing.

Park crew says they are going to extend it to the bottom of cut with some jumps planned.

rookie park resurrection for the weekend. myself and 3 others built it last night, 11 features including a jump and a spine.

the lifts will be running tomorrow, myself and 2 others rebuilt rookie park today, only 2 features stayed the same everything else is changed up. the jump will be up and running this weekend as well.

Since they moved the jump over to the right as far as it could go and melted the snow where we were trannying I can defs say thats why they closed the jump

Im pretty sure its going by weather right now. But this could be the last week, since the snow condition is getting very poor. Grouse will call the shot after this week. I doubt they will keep it open unless they push snow on the areas that need it the most.

they pushed a lot of snow to make last weekend happen, hopefully this weekend happens again. i dont think its gonna go past this weekend if this weekend happens at all.

Mountain is starting to look more brown than white, would be surprised if they made it past this weekend

Old rookie park line is gone, quik park for this weekend with 13 features including 3 jumps. Upper cut park got a bit of a rebuild too.

Damn what a hell of a season! Going to miss all my homies for a while. Hopefully ill see you all up on the glacier, or how about another Seymour camp out? Amazing season, better be seeing most of you back next season. Time to spend the rest of my summer on NSG till next season. Props to Grouse park too, tremendous park this year. Its hard to see it all leave :(

I hiked Seymour yesterday, it sucked. Haha we built a hip out of a mound of snow around where the bottom park is and there was hardly any speed. If you go up Seymour go as
