Grouse 2010/11

yesterday was probably one of the sickest days not for park couldnt c anythin but there was so much fresh snow
 
tomorrow is gonna be amazing. bluebird and warm as hell, bring out the sunglasses and tall tees

also who's stoked for gaper day??
 
man i havent skied in so long but that park was amazingly sick

jealous of all the kids that got line prefs though, it got so boring sitting in line for so long that i wound up taking a nap at the top of the park

the cut jump line is gonna be crazy, the red rail is huge. Can't ride anymore this season because of a back injury but i wouldn't have hit it anyway. I'll be there on sunny days in april to take some shots.

Yeah got rained on etc. Was actually alright today after it cleared up, snow's too slow for a lot of features though

i think their waiting for the weather to get better, then maybe they will make the jump a bit smaller and open it to public?

Would be mad lame if they kept the Cut Line closed even longer.. Slap a 90 footer on Peak. Keep the current Cut set up with the jumps a bit easier to clear
 
61cms in the past 24hours what the hell?! April 1st was three days ago they are a bit retarded!

Went up yesterday, it was snowing very hard though, even if 61cms is a bad joke.
 
I am so incredibly jealous of anyone who has gone up today. I got the snow report text this morning just before going to school and was so close to skipping and going... If I was at my place in Vancouver with my ski gear I definitely would have.
 
im pretty sure cut jump line isnt coming back this season. as far as i know shaw just wants to take his time and build the best jump possible for alterna post season. and the cut is definitely gonna be the location because of the backdrop.
 
so much snow. went and did 1 park lap to check out everything. the second set of rails were completly gone the flat down and elbow rail were barried and the donw box was almost gone. but they set up 4 sick rails were the 2 last jumps were
 
I heard them say that it can't be after may long weekend

don't think they have decided when it will actually close yet, but by the looks of things we will probably be shredding into may
 
typical grouse park bullshit

nothing used to make me angrier than silcock's big gay hips for his all important photoshoot surrounded by the worst neglected jump and rail setups. we need a park groomer who cares more about building an actually good terrain park than getting the picture for the trail map

silcock doesnt even work for grouse anymore. the reason for the park being a bit hack as of late is that shaw (the park groomer) has been away and park crew was having a lot of trouble getting other mountain groomers to step up and even take a lap through the park.
 
i realize silcock is done and silcock 2.0 is definitely much sicker

but neglecting a month of park in order to make a photoshoot jump is pretty unforgivable. silcock used to neglect an entire season and call the park a success as long as someone got a sunset method on the hip in front of the city so this is obviously way better
 
ur dumb. the park has been really sick this year and is actually a ton of fun right now. stop bitching about a few weeks when we've had the best park in many years. "silcock 2.0" has a name it's shaw.
 
i know you havnt been shredding much grouse this year, but this has not been like previous years. in terms of the park getting a regular grooming, these past few weeks are really the only time it hasnt been happening, and again its because shaw has been away. park crew has been holding it down. it sucks that alterna was valued higher than the paying public with the jump line being taken down, thats my only complaint for the time being.
 
as if your saying tom is dumb and that he is bitching. tom was one of the first park skiers to start skiing these local hills and almost everyone who knows him respects him and would never come around and call him dumb over the computer let alone "bitching" about a park. take a breath and calm down...
