Who likes working in groups as opposed to individually? personally I hate groups (more and more by the second), nobody ever does their share, and if they do its usually crap

for some reason whenever im in a group i get blamed for everything, when nobody did shit the whole time except for me

group projects get waaaayyy out of hand the second we start working. research soon turns into internet gaming. a quick snack quickly turns into a full fledged meal...you know, the works

 
I'm in the middle of almost a semester-long group project for English...we have to produce a magazine. The class got split up by the teacher into groups so there's the first problem: we didn't get to chose who was in our group. And we have to freelance for other groups in the class, and get other freelancers to write for us, and do our own editorials for the magazine... And yeah, it pretty much blows and it all boils down to the fact that my graduation depends upon this project. It seems easy enough except that already I've done more editing and writing than any of my other group members with the possible exception of one girl who completely disagrees with everything. So basically we're behind schedule and don't have anything productive done. I hate group projects. I always end up doing it all at the last minute.

i hate group work as well. even if you get to work with friends i still dont like doing it. i mean theres always someone who doesnt do their share, and theres always someone who thinks they are always right...etc etc. i prefer working on my own because then there is no one to blame except for me.

i absolutely hate group work where your groups are assigned. i always get w/ lazy kids who make me do all the work, and it sucks. Then that person automatically gets the good grade that I earned FOR them. UGGGH! now, if you get to choose your group, and the other members would equally do work and be responsible, then i like them alot, because it's less work for you.

At my school, we get little sheets and we get to say who did what percentage of the work. If you did a lot you write that down and if it disagrees with what your group says then he/she talks to you and you get a boosted mark while the slackers get their mark lowered. It rocks, as long as you do your part you're set, even though i think that detracts from the 'group' part of it, but it gets you into University.

 
yeah, we just made groups (of 2) today in French class, and there's only 6 of us. There are 2 people that we don't like, so it would be easiest if they went together... but noooo they didn't want too. So we drew names, and luckily I'm not with either of them, thank goodness.

ya i dont like groups for big ass projects..specailly in science, because everything seems to be pushed to my side..meaning i do all the work..it pissess me off..then you get a grade that is lower then the people who didnt do shit in ur group..

 
im the one who thinks hes allways right, but thats why i like working alone, because then i can try my idea and if it needs tweaking, i can tweak it, with out losing support or argueing

i just had to do a group isu... it was the stupidest idea ever to make us do a group seminar... the only good part was that we had to do our own essay, but our seminar blew chunks... I used to like group work back in grade 10 when i didnt do any work, but now that im trying to keep my marks up i dont want other people to be incontrol of my future...

i hate groups projects, i either do everything or nothing

freshman year in french i had to do a project with this school, and she lived in the dorms and i lived at home, and we decided to work after school in the libraray and she never showe dup, so after 30 minutes i went home, then she told the teacher i didn't do any work and she gave the girl like 20 more points, and took 10 off from me

haha this is funny becuse we are doing a group filming project in computer class and i had the tape and we only had 2 days to film and I forgot the tape today and the second day is tomorrow and im staying home for passover...so I pretty much completely fucked them over, yep now we get to do it at lunch time... haha good stuff.
