my friend is thinking bout putting sum griptape on his skis so he can get a better grab what do you think is it a good idea kinda made me think when he told me?
i don't know. it would add a little weight.not sure if you could notice it or not. plus i would be worrying about them griping together like in a mute or something. it might tear up your gloves too
yeah ^ NO.. wouldnt hurt anything, maybe an ounce of weight you might be able to feel for a run or two if its out on the tips but then it wouldnt be a bid deal. no its not gonna eat your bases off unless you ski with your mom behind you on a leash and your tips are tyed together. i still dont think it would help that much.
whats that have to do with grip tape? you need to chill out when you go for the grab if your delaming skis just from the ski to ski contact of a mute. should your ski be on your bootish area?
I'd be concerned with potential damage to the skis.
You never know how things are going to go down when you take a spill. Dragging the base or worse... an edge... along the grip tape would be just like taking sandpaper to your ski.
You can repair the base, but one you bevel off an edge... well look on the bright side. You'll have a new pair of rock skis.
haha yea totaly. my buddy is still rocking those and the bit of griptape infront of the toe piece is great, almost as good as the solid steel tips (best used for opening beer bottles)
griptape would ruin your skis. mute grabs it would slice hte base. if you fell with your skis crossed or tangled up theyd get scratched. its pretty pointless, if you are really having that much trouble grabbing your skis then thats kinda sad...
