Here's a little experiment.... Paint your skis with spray paint... go skiing for a couple days.. look at the paint...
You'll notice that the paint on the tail disapears supper quick, because for some reason, the backs of your skis hit each other alot. Putting grip-tape on the tails of your skis would only dull your edges.
