yes it is for grabs it is the same idea as a pipe glove with the tacky palm

even if you try to use that 'grip tape' when you're skiing for a while it simply gets iced over and makes grabs even more difficult, useless, you notice none of the more recent dynastars have it.

It's a stomp pad. You put your foot on it when your not using your other ski.

The top sheet material on some new Volkls is a non slip type material that is rather grippy. Its kinda like the stuff they use for spray on truck bed liners. The stuff looks like it should hold up pretty crazy.
