Grinding wood?

my friends and i were looking at some wooden urban handrails, and i was wondering if with enough wax it could be slid rather safely

idk, its a salad toss up, id do a trick besides slidding with ur edges perpindicular to the rail

i did that before and it worked alright. go really slow up to it, like as slow as possible and it will work.

I've seen it done before, but pretty sketchy. You gotta dull your edges, otherwise it catches pretty easily and you'll go flying

godam you post a lot. You've been here for a few months and have a shitload of posts. I see you in like every thread. stop.

he can post as much as he damn well pleases as long as it's pretty contributive, like that last one. it wasn't the most epic post ever, but a nice little piece of advice. just chill...let the power of peace dominate your heart and soul.

if u wax it up a shitload it can be done. the first couple of times are sketchy trying to get the hang of it. lineskiah11 has a wooden fd box about 14 or 5 feet and as long as we wax it we can do it easily.

yeah you can do it, i grind logs and shit at home all the time, just make sure you ice it good and your edges are pretty dull

step one.. dull ass edges.

step two... make sure there are no nails sticking out or any broken wood to hang up on.

step tres... a little wax goes a long way

step 4... shred gnarly and get hard, but no too hard.

oh and try to keep your front edge off the wood a little. so lean just a touch to the left to the left, dont hang up your ski just lean a touch to the left!

u'll be fine if its freezing outside...water will freeze in the wood and it will slide well. ive dont it before

Stop hating on Dave... he never has anything bad to say about anyone. This community is Dependant on people contributing. He contributes a lot. Leave him be.

its possible. just wax it and youll be ok, and like someone before mentioned. the wood will most likely be soft so dont lean forward, but dont lean back too much when sliding it.

I'm so glad you contributed so much useful information to this thread. I don't care if you're a donator or not. you are an ass-munch.

Back on topic...

There are wooden rails in all sorts of movies, even going back to Crighton's segment in Forward.

go fuck yourself

it looks like if you dont stop before that railing at the bottom you have a long fall into a ice cold river. good luck

It looks like in the pic that you would fall down a cliff if you went off the right side of a rail... Doesn't really seem worth it to me, but it would indeed be sick

o when i saw the pic i thought you were goin to grind the bridge suports or something.but yeah just get some crap skis and knock out the edges.it helps if you ice it to.

i dont even slide metal rails wooden rails are so progressive all rails are becoming hybrids neways made of wood and iron
