Grinding with FAT skis

THink it would be easier to grind with a pair of Pistols instead of a ski with a 70cm waist? I think it would be waaaay easier!

It does not matter. I cant describe it in technical terms, but there is only one thing that makes a difference:the width of the rail.

The only factor that I have found in grinding that may make a difference in your choice of ski, is the weight difference.. The Airstyle for example has BAD! weight displacement, the front is a LOT heavier than the front if they are mounted in a powder stance like they should.. So just say no to fischer.

seth pistols are the easiest things to grind on since women. why even bother asking? is it easier to stand on a rail or a flat bar... surface area makes things easier.

royales are sick, the only bad thing is they ruin the edges. and its not really going to be any easier to grind on fat skis. and the only reason its easier to grind on a flat bar rather than a rail is because on a flat bar you cant rock back and forth like on a rail. im doing fastslides this year that will take the world by storm

 
70cm is waaay more than the somewhat 90mm waist the Pistols Have.

ok, let me rephrase: is a 4 inch flat bar or 6 inch flatbar easier? is a rail or a box easier... progressively easier with width, the wider the platform you have to stand on the greater your weight dispersal over your feet/skis/rail. less precise balance. math, physics, whatever the fuck principle it is... its pretty fuckin simple.

i like grindings rails better than boxes. u stick more to boxes so i think its harder

i dont know man boxes are a lot easier in my opinon, its way easier to just do a normal slide on a box

Dude, its way easier to grind with wider skis. Thats why its easy for snowboarders to grind, as was stated above. Also, try to keep your balance on a really really thin rail. Then try to keep your balance on a table. Its that simple.

But it would only help your side to side balance, not the fron-back balance. And unless you dont know how to slide a rail, then you rarely fall on your sides. So I'm thinking it really wouldnt help much.

it really doesnt make too much of a difference as long as your bases are flat on the rail. wider skis are easier to makio with though
