Grind plates on ski Boots?

Has anyone ever put grind plates on ski boots. I was watching some TC and thought that a whole new area of jibbing could be opened up if there were grind plates on boots.
 
Why would you need then, plastic boots slide pretty well on rails and boxes, the only reason I could think of is to protect the boot. I think it would just weigh the boot down.
 
line made um for thier old ski board bindings, look up the line soul plate. they apparently didnt really work that well, and were pretty much animously dubbed super gay.

asian_allen does. I think it would be a good idea, if done right. I would love a ski boot that more resembles my rollerlade, of course still being enough like a ski boot to not brake my ankles.

I wish I had grind plates. What if skis had royal plates, like the edges came up or something (this is just a extremely crazy idea). Actually my boos would be better if they didn't have such a forward cant to them, and if I didn't get toebang... I need new boots, probably gonna get spk's of some sort.

the bottom of the boot has no effect on the skis while on a rail

it's for those grinds where you lay the side of your boot down on the rail, the plates make it slide

shit allen, how much chopin did you do on those spicks? the xsajdo idea is fuckin sick, i was doin royales at a-bay and was thinking something on the boot to help balance would be so prime!!
 
they stick out as much as your brakes do, look at your brakes when they are tucked in on the side, you will never carve all the way over. the only time i can think you would would be for handdrags, but even then, it wouldnt be that bad.
 
Yeah it's cool, I was just reading in powder how all of shane's friends said he was crazy when he drew the first rocker or reverse sidecut on a bar napkin too. Everybody loves to bash the guy with the new ideas, until they work.

This is fucking stupid, i mean i love all the innovation in skiing right now, but this is taking at too far. Is it even possible to turn with those plates on the side?
 
freestyle skiing is having the freedom to do whatever the fuck you want, so if this thread is gay, then NS skiing is gay. furthermore, the term gay doesnt mean homosexual tendencies to me, so im gonna pretend that all of the trolls meant to say "if this makes you happy, you should do it."

i would like a spot to slide royales. and i cant do any of them, but most of Andys tricks could utilize this. I cant wait for jibber specific equiptment, why would i want to ride racer designed equiptment in the park?, i mean if i were racing, i would want edges, but if im in the park i dont want any. i think its gay that kids sharpen their skis to do pretzels, that shit ruins rails.
