My friend told me about these and swears that 2 friends have them, but I can't find a trace of 'em. He said they were skinnier and lighter, built for park. What are they?

Alyeska is the best place in AK, and it sucks.
 
im pretty sure those arent pockets rockets... they are Salomon 1080's and he is on drugs for thinking they are pocket rockets, i could be wrong but someone help me out here

He says they say pocket rocket right on them. I asked if they were 1080 fizzes (green), but he said they werent.

ya, it could happen. to someone that doesnt know what much about them. but, they are also both pretty fat skis.

He is a serious freestyler and has been skiing since he was like 3 pretty regularly. Lived in girdwood (Alyeska town) for like 8 years. Knows all the good people. I trust him

maybe he was thinking about the AK rockets... they were green this year but the ones only for the salomon team... ive seen pics of these gree ak rockets but im not 100% sure...

 
^^I don't think that's right, but hey.....anything could happen at that level. They also make the 1080 in 171 w/ green that don't really say 1080 on them, they just say spaceframe. The PR is the PR.......I thought.

those are definitely 1080's. The tips are to round. Notice how the Pocket ROcket has sorta a flat tip. The newPocket Rockets are still blue.

 
well i'm gonna play my wild card and say that cause you're a newb you could make a mistake like that by mixing up 1080's with pocket rockets, just don't do it again

The 151cm 1080s are emerald green. I saw them at a Salomon demo tent today, so maybe they are new for next year.

 
No - they definately were 151 - it was written on them. Spaceframe construction. Because they are so short they look fatter, which is probably why the original poster thought they were Pocket Rockets.

Who would buy them? Little kids, or people who just want a short ski.

 
the green skis he is refering to are the green AK rockets pro team model... they only came in one length 195... ive seen pics of em and some dude on powder's forum was sellin a pair of em...

red PR's would be so sick. but i dont ride even ride 1080s or pocket rockets and i can tell that they are 2 different skis in that picture.
