i got the cd today, i won a radio station giveaway thing, but i havent really had a chance to listen to it yet

ive heard the whole cd, its deffinetly different from greenday. if u just forget what greenday has done in the past, and think of it as a new band, its a really good cd lol. i like it.

Alright, after buying the CD and listening it from start to end I can now say that it's the sickest CD ever and I respect these guys more than I though possible! American idiot is a sick song, but the rest of the CD is not at all the same, American Idiot is more like their old stuff.. Every CD is completely different and this one is as well.. This band has somwhere around 8 CD's I believe and every single one of them is sick (not so much their last one.. Shenanigans) but every one evolves and these guys have survived for such a long time in this industry!
It's without a doubt not the same as their older stuff but it's still amazing and higher quality than any other band. But the CD, listen to it all and read the lyrics in the book... People have to realize that they arent 20 years old anymore and they aren't going to make the same music as always, people would just get bored with it and it's not ho they are anymore.. Whatever, for some it's a lost cause but anyone who was a true fan of their previous CD's will respect them for this one!

Man, it's a rock opera, just listen to the CD and the progression of its message. It reminds me of Styx and Pink Floyd's- The Wall. There's a story to the CD, a continuous plot in there...

yea dudes, I got the cd yesterday. and if you only like a few of green days songs, you might not like it. But if you like grreen day, meaning you like all their songs, then this is the cd for you. Serioulsy it's their best cd ever. It's a fucking journey. I went to the store, got real real enhanced, and listened to this cd all the way through. american idiot is the worst song on the cd. whatsername is the best. but's who' St. Jimmy?

i'd have to agree with the smart people on this forum.....this cd is sick like ebloa. so good. may be best ever....hard call with what they have done. i have been listening to it alomost non stop, excelt for the new lawerence arms cd and at work with some bad religion...but for surly a must buy for any green-day fan...even quasi fan....meh...really everyone should get it.
