no. a lot of punks listen to weezer (the old stuff) but weezer is not punk. minor threat discography is up there as one of the best albums.

weezer is punk. I think Pinkerton is punk. so if that was the weezer you were refering to - then I would say that yea they are punk. more emo than punk... but emo is punk... so....

Weezer is not punk, emo is not punk...Minor Threat is hardcore which is punk but not 'punk' Best punk record: The Clash - London Calling...probably one of the top 5 of all records ever.

Fuck even Curt Cobain called Nevermind a 'punk album', so theres so many things that can be catagorized as punk.

I think Relationship of Command by At the Drive In is an amzing album.

Nitty Gritty Dirt Bans (featuring a cast of bluegrass legends)- 'Will the Circle be Unbroken'

this is such a great album, and a double at that. the music on it is pure mountain bluegrass. why is it punk? because it took the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band boys who were long haired hippies who took lsd and smoken ganj, and matched them up with southern men of pride like roy acuff, earl scruggs and others who went to church on very sunday in their finest dress. it was uniting of two different types of people. it was teaching to people who wanted to learn. that is fucking punk
