Alex Chilton, lead singer of the greatest American band of all time died today. I don't care if you disagree, he was the greatest singer/ songwriter of all time. Their music has been covered by Wilco, The Whiskeytown, Teenage Fanclub, and Paul Westerberg of The Replacements wrote a song about Alex Chilton. This is just for a little remembrance of him.

I personally think Bob Dylan and/or McCartney/Lennon are the greatest songwriters of all-time, but I respect your opinion. RIP.

do you really think the greatest american musician was a singer, HA.
Singers wouldn't be shit without musicians, and the best musician in american is history could be so many people for instance
Louis ArmstrongCharlie ParkerMiles Davis(you can name any jazz great)
Stevie Ray VaughnJerryTreyTom MorelloMuddy Waters(all the great rock guitarists)
Stevie wonderMicheal Jackson

My point is that the list is huge, and whoever said it was opinion was right

(but you really picked a singer??)

Better than Chuck Berry? I think not.

Think of all the British invasion guys, most notably the Beatles. Who did they have as inspiration? Chuck Berry and Elvis.

sweet man, never heard of him and its not huge on the news right now so im assuming he was your personal favourite not the "Greatest American Musician Of All Time Died Today" with caps for each word
