Hey everyone,

Wanted to give the board the heads up on a new book. The book is called "The Edge of Never" by Bill Kerig. The book is about Kye Petersen and his journey to Chamonix to ski the run that his father passed away on. The story was also the original concept for the movie Steep. Anyone looking for a moving, iinspiration ski book, than this is it. The book is really well written and definitely worth checking out. The book is for anyone who skis, but also is worth checking out for non skiers because it is such an incredible story.

More can be found here

or there are several reviews out about it including the current Powder with Abma on the cover.

definitely seems like a good read, that's got to be a hell of a ride, skiing where your dad passed away

thanks for sharing...

my dad actually almost killed himself on a downhill training run in chamonix in the 50's I think it was...he is 78 now and probably would love to read this book.

I went to chapters on the weekend to go buy it, but the guy said they had just received it and it was still in the bay.

we have this thing at my school called "community of readers" where the english department asks a couple seniors to sponsor a book and then lead group sessions/discussions about the book with middle school students.

would this be too difficult a read? im looking for a ski-related book, obviously, and it seems like a great read but i'm worried about the difficulty

Crazy, I was just at the presentation by Bill Kerig for this book in Vail tonight. I remember when they started this thing...it was a while back. Hopefully they can finish the movie.

Just picked up the book tonight, can't wait to read it. Trevor was without question the first skier I ever idolized as a kid and the Peterson's are truly great people.
