you make that list yourself?

In another famous study, Heath/Tulane (1974), wild monkeys were brutally captured, then virtually suffocated in marijuana smoke over a period of 90 days.

Midnight Coqboy is #36. American Beauty isn't on there because no movie makes the list until a few years later, to see if it stands the test of time (one of the truest markings of a classic). I'm not sure if it would make the list in any case. Full Metal Jacket is one of those things; you know it's a great movie, but should you put it on the 'Greatest Films' list? Well, maybe. Guess that's up to you. I think it's the most realistic war film ever, but I don't know if I'd call it a classic in the same way I do Apocalypse Now. And yeah, that list is AMC. I would probably have ditched the disney flicks, otherwise, in favour of some good recent films. But you can trust anything that rates Belle De Jour well as being a reasonably good list.

Yankees Suck

'In rode the Lord of the Nazgul. A great black shape against the fires beyond, he loomed up, grown to a vast menace of despair. In rode the Lord of the Nazgul, under the archway that no enemy ever yet had passed, and all fled before his face.

All save one. There, waiting silent and still in the space before the gate, sat Gandalf upon Shadowfax : Shadowfax, who alone among the free horses of the earth endured the terror, unmoving, steadfast as a graven image in Rath Dinen.'

'Dude, we're sick. He's pretty sick, but his muscles aren't as big as mine, so you know.'-CR Johnson

^And memento, and the usual suspects, and a lot of recent films. It's not good for recent films, but for old stuff, it's prettty good. Allow me to reiterate, however, its lack of Belle De Jour, which should be in any top 20... and that's somewhat old. I'm a bit disappointed about that.

i suppose its a question of defining classic. i mean really what defines that? because i don't necessarily think a classic means the best. jd i know you're a huge fan of casablanca, but i don't think its among the best movies made. it flows like better, its amazing in its classical construction, but i don't think its among the best. citizen kane? now thats a fuckin amazing old movie.

Well, it is generally regarded as the best movie ever... and #1 on that list... but there are a lot of well respected critics who despise Citizen Kane. Personally I think it's a great movie, but not all film experts agree on that.
