if you like any hardcore/metal music, you should really get the new As I Lay Dying CD - "An Ocean Between Us". it is fucking amazing.

They have the most incredible drummer, and very good guitar players.

Expect a lot of screaming, which is actually decently done in this band, as opposed to a lot of hardcore/metal bands. but they also sing normally during most of the choruses, and its a perfect balance in my opinion.

you can think what you want about metal bands.. its definitely not for everyone, but if you just listen to the music alone (guitars, drums, and bass), you will be impressed at how well it is put together, even if you aren't into the screaming.

dont get me wrong, i listen to basically all music that is well-done, not just metal. i'm also really into rap and classic rock, etc. but i give respect to AILD for releasing such a great new album. it blows away all of their older stuff.

i bought the CD and i've listened to it at least once every day. its really good for relieving stress, or waking you up if you're tired. haha

tracks that stand out are "The Sound of Truth", "Forsaken", "This is Who We Are", "An Ocean Between Us", and "Nothing Left".

yeah its definitely their best CD. its really good.

they're one of the few metal bands i really like. the drummer is insanely good
 
i've always loved the music and composition of metal and hardcore stuff, but i can't stand not being able to hear any words and just listening to someone yell.

iv had the cd since like 2 days after it came out

through the eyes of the dead's new cd is pretty good too

it pissed me off tho that they changed vocalists but its still pretty good.

 
yeah as i lay dying is good, their shit is tight and well-crafted.

if you are interested in another good CD, check out the new coheed and cambria one. its so epic.
 
dude that band fucking SUCKS. mainly, the vocalists (the old one and especially the new one) are terrible.

that cant even compare to the new AILD cd.

thier old stuff is soo stinkin brutal!!!

but i know what your sayin. AILD has a lot better sound to them becuase theyr a better band and they play as a group.

TTEOTD is brutal but theyr so outa control that thier concerts sound like shit whereas AILD's concerts are sick beyond all belief!

oh and have you ever listened to TTEOTD's old stuff or are you making your opinions soley on thier new stuff?
