Ropeboarding is an extreme sport that combines the feel of wakeboarding and vert skateboarding, with a street skateboarding edge. Floating the apex at 20ft while contorting a 540 Frigid Air is just a small example of what makes ropeboarding an intense adrenaline rush.

its not a mobile sport. as in you can grab your skateboard and skate where ever you like. but with this you cant.

What is the point? You hold a rope and swing back and forth a few times? It looks kinda dumb...the board adds nothing to the "sport". The socking thread posted about a week or two ago was so much better than this.

Ok, my friends have been doing this for years. There is a 40 foot rope tied to a tree in his backyard and you jump on standing up and swing like 50 feet into the air and they've been spinning and flipping on that thing for years.

holy shit i cant believe you guys actually got this going. i remeber when i met i think it was simon, last year at some perty in guelph and we went searching for a tree to try that on. I thought it sounded stupid at the time because i didnt get to see it in action but holy fuck man. congrats guys on getting the patent for it.

After watching the videos I kind of understand how it works. At first I was like "how is this any different than just swinging? But then I can see how it would take skill and balls.
