Granite_State$'s Scary Stories.

claim: spent a weekend at one of the ghosthunter places, however i didnt know it was haunted. watching the footage ghosthunters got from theire after i stayed theire was really creepy

Bumped this thread to hear some stories but I guess its time to tell my scariest (for me) ghost experience Ive ever had, I havent told anyone this but hear it goes..

A little background: My parents bought a log cabin camp on lake george when I was around 6 or 7 that was set back away in the woods a little bit but still visible from the road. The camp before we had bought it had been on the market for a couple of years with only some open houses but no real offers. So we bought the house and inside it was all old and cobwebby but we fixed it up the best we could. The first summer up there I met some friends on the lake and they told me that my camp was haunted and they had seen creepy stuff near it but i thought that was just meant to scare me.

But my ghost experience came when I was 12 or 13 and our family had our cousins family up. I had a cousin around my age and we decided to sleep in the big living room by ourselves while everyone else was upstairs. I woke up in the middle of the night breathing fast and I sat up in my sleeping bag. I heard what seemed to be a raspy voice saying my name "James, come now" and it sounded like it was coming from outside. The voice sent chills through every part in my body. Theres a window from the living room that looks out into the driveway so I got up and went to the window to look into the driveway. In the middle of the driveway I see a dark figure hovering floating left and right kind of swaying. Im freaking out at this point and I go to the door that leads to the driveway to turn on the flood light in the driveway. I flip the switch and the light delays a second but then turns on and the second that it does the dark hooded figure shoots at alarming speed up the driveway. On its way out it hits a sign at the top of our driveway that says our house number. I freak out at this point and run upstairs and tell my parents and they think I just had a bad dream. Scariest part about all of this though is that the next morning I walk to the end of the driveway and the sign that I saw the figure hit is off its hinges face down on the ground.

Hahah thats fucking awesome. My dad used to tell me all sorts of fucked up stories out of lake George aka Indians scalping redcoats and such, so I don't doubt that you may have seen something.

And there won't be any stories for a long while boys, Im out of that house and it doesnt look like Im returning any time soon...

This thread again. I thought I had posted in it already, but I can't find my post now, so I guess I haven't

Anyway, I've seen a few ghosts or whatever you want to call them. Last one was being home for the holidays a few weeks ago, and I saw our "house-ghost" for the first time in over a year. It's an old man in a grey suit. Quite tall, always fleeing from something. My brother and my father has never seen him, but my mom has. He's not that scary though. I'm not sure if he knows that we live there, or that we have seen him. He doesn't make any noises or anything like that.

Most vivid memory is when I saw campfire once. It was down by a lake, pretty close to were we hade found evidence of an old Sami camp. The fire was intense, and there were to colorful individuals standing up, and walking by it. I also saw the outline of a tent/teepee, but it was like it was all sort of centered around the fire, like it lit up the two people and the teepee, and I could only see as far as it casted its light. It was incredibly weird.

Creepiest one was in my old school, were I, along with a few of my classmates, saw a dark figure without a head in the locker room in the gym. I was 9 at the time, and I don't really trust my 9 year old self, but there were several others who had seen it, including two of the teachers. Apparently it was one of the old principals, who had worked there in the late 50:s.

Sorry for dub post, but after re-reading the entire thread, I think that Granites dad has some kind of relation to ghosts or the past of stuff. Maybe he feels and hears and sees a whole lot more than you do? Ask him.

I'm so glad I have a newer house that nobody has died in before. No ghosts, no problems. However, one day I think I'm gonna see a ghost and it might try to possess me or kill me, which is my biggest fear.

How does this happen

Haha I just logged in and noticed this thread was not only bumped from the dead, but raped. Whatever. I appreciate the people that believed me or at least enjoyed reading my stories. To the people that don't "believe in ghosts" thats fine, these were my honest experiences, whether you choose to believe them or not. I have plenty of primary sources that can back up what I say. Anyways, this thread can die once again, I may or may not live there this summer, and if I do I'll bump this thread again if I experience anymore weird shit, and if I don't live there this summer, may this once great thread RIP forever. Praise Jah.

i believe you new hampshire is a creepy place i had an experience on a school enviromental camp up north and i woke up and saw what looked like a very faded girl in my room and my friends in another room said he awoke to i think a silhouette and my brother had an apartment and he said he saw a figure near his room and some blood stain in the kitchen that eventually disappeared

eheath is so fucking stupid. Honestly, he bases the legitimacy of someones argument on how long they have had an account on a website...

Home alone. Brothers out with friends. Get home from work and am chilling in my room for a little while. I decide to go downstairs to get a drink. As I'm downstairs I hear footsteps walk from the bathroom above me into the bedroom (my dads room aka one of the fucked up rooms where shit used to always happen). Like legitimate footsteps. And they are relatively loud. I yell out assuming its my brother but his car is gone and he even called me at work to tell me he was going out.

I'm not going into that fucking room to investigate. Shit hasn't happened in a long, and I mean long time, and now this is fucking going on. I'm not saying Im terrified but Im ssitting in my room with no plans on leaving until the morning. Could have just been a coincidence but I don't care, I heard someone walking from directly above me to my left (from my dads bathroom into his bedroom) and don't really care what caused it. His door is closed and it is staying that way. Fuck.

jk good stories man. Im actually scared right now, mostly because I live in New Hampshire too (assuming you do as well by your name). And you got some serious balls to stay in that house.

thats fucking sketchy is this barn near any ski mountain? thats in my opinion pretty nuts. BTW any recent shit happen at your house?

So I was watching the Conjuring the other day and for some reason I thought of this thread. Plus, seeing the "creepy things that have happened to you" thread I thought I would give a little update.

So the house has been sold. My father moved out a few months ago and there are new owners now. No clue if they've experienced any shit but yeah that where we are at with that. Now... I got 3 mini stories to share.

1. As a few people know I used to have a cat that died 3 years ago in about a week. He was buried in our front yard by a rock. Well, when my dad still lived in the house with my brother he told me something strange. I came home from school on a vacation and he told me he thought my cat was still "around". Apparently on occasion he would be alone in the house and hear a lone "meow". Just one. It didn't happen often but every time it did he just assumed it was my then deceased cat Simon letting him know he was still around. Kinda weird, I never heard it when I was in the house tho :(.

2. About two weeks ago I had something strange happen in my mothers house. Her basement is finished with a T.V., couch, and chair in the main portion. The tv is against the back wall and the couch is lining the right wall adjacent to the tv (so if you lay down on the couch you are facing the tv. In the main part of that room is a hanging ceiling fan with a light. The light switch for this is at the bottom of the stair on a double panel with the light for above the stairs. Anyways, I'm laying on the couch watching tv. All the lights are off. My mom and her boyfriend are upstairs making dinner. Now usually when my mom comes downstairs (to do laundry because the furnace and laundry room are in the basement as well) she turns on the stair AND the ceiling fan light. Anyways I'm lying there when all of a sudden the ceiling fan light turns on. I look over expecting to see my mom coming down the stairs but there is no one. I get up and go upstairs and and call for her. She's in her room. I ask her boyfriend (Mark) if one of them was coming downstairs and turned on the light. He says no. I then tell them the ceiling fan light turned on by itself. She knows all the old stories from my house (she's the most skeptical) and tells my that the switch probably got stuck and someone walking around probably clicked it on. Anyways, I try to get it stuck and its impossible. It either flips up to On or flips down to Off. No middle ground. Either way thought it was strange and thought I'd share.

3. I sleep in the basement in another finished bedroom. I have a tv in there hooked up to my ps3 so i can get my game on and watch netflix. Anyways, I ALWAYS fall asleep with netflix on (usually Always Sunny). That means I always wake up with the "are you still watching" on my tv. Sometimes Ill wake up in the middle of the night and turn it off but usually I conk out and wont wake up until like 6 or 7 in the morning to piss, and turn it off then. Anyways, I went to sleep last night KNOWING Always Sunny was playing. I slept through the whole night and woke up this morning and both my ps3 and tv were turned off. My only thought was maybe I "sleep walked" and turned it off but just dont remember. My mom respects my privacy and never comes in my room so I know it wasn't her. Either way, not really scary more just odd. Thought I'd share though, its a slow day at work and I miss this thread.

I mentioned this in the other popular thread, glad to see its back. That would be quite a coincidence to have another haunted house. The thread needed a revival

I live in NH, I wish I had this stuff happening to me

Apparently theres some spooky shit in my town and in the town over my brother heard some shit and did some oujie board shit in a small cemetery. Ive hardly seen any spooky shit besides at a 6th grade camp at King Pine, somewhere in this thread and the other recent creepy thread. NH can be full of sketchy shit

My gf's apartment used to be a funeral home. Over this past year some strange shit has happened...maybe its time to bring this thread back if people wanna hear some more stories.
