Granite sweet granite

To Whomever is running the park at Granite Peak:

I just wanted to drop you a line, oh fast learner and master of park building. Whatever you have learned over the Summer of 2008 has been put to good use. The cannon rail is frickin awesome, the bottom jump in Birch Park is so smooth I can't even believe it. Where your park was even last year compared to this year is incredible. I can't say enough about your AWESOME park this year. Thanks for giving us a great place to rip it up.

One complaint: What are the chances of bringing back excitebike? It was set up perfect! I loved it! Other than that, great job.
 
Yeah I agree, Granite is DOPE this year.. Best in the midwest if you ask me..

Thing is I don't think any of the park guys have a NS account.. So if have a Myspace or Facebook add them their name is Granite Peak Parks and drop them a line there. They constantly post up questions and recommendation spots for people to give advice, it's legit!
 
fuuuuuck dude. If that wasn't the weekend of MWO I would totally shred up there with you. I have been wanting to go to granite for the longest time.

hey man, i don't ski but i do build the parks at granite.... glad to hear all of you are stoked. Sorry but i don't think we will be bringing back the excite bike for insurance purposes, but we will be looking to build again here pretty soon. The big difference is that we surrounded the guy that drives the cat (Bobby) with a good staff. Ended up firing the kid that wasn't doing his job, basically for the last two years because i was doing it and not getting paid! Now this season we have 4 guys (including Bobby) that know how parks should ride, and work our asses off to make sure they are in tip top shape every morning when we open. Keep killing it up there, it's good to see the twin tippers hitting the parks!Wyatt
 
Lol not a problem man. It's a jump on-jump off. I'll try and describe it... There was a jump, a gap, a plateau, a gap, and then you land going down a landing ramp. So in effect, you hit the jump, land on the plateau, hit the back of the plateau and jump down the landing.

My 2 favorite combos: 180 on to switch 3 off, and switch 1 on to 5 off.
 
I've been wanting to go to Granite Peak for a while, but I'd have to justify driving there from Chicago...

If I'm able to convince a roommate or two to go I'll try to make it up there on March 7th. Would anyone want to film if I brought my VX2100 along?
 
excitebike sounds cooler. it was a sweet game (still is actually. if you hook your Wii up to internet you can buy it off the nintendo channel), and it's a sweet feature. so, excitebike it stays. I think i've also heard it called like a dino's back or something. thats extremely gay. Excitebike or die lol
 
Yeah this is definately the best the parks have ever been I pretty much ride them everyday. I'm loving the jump line too, but is there any chance that we'll be seeing a bigger jump by the end of the year?
 
personally I think bread loaf sounds the coolest as a nick name, but pman is correct. the "real" name for one of those features is a butter box.
 
Yeah the parks are really nice this year. All of the jumps have nice smooth landings and the biggest jump is decent sized but i was kind of hoping for a bigger jump on the birch park.
 
i think im gonna come out over spring break and ride.

are the conditions good there that time of year? i hope so, that will probly be my only opportunity to come out this year.
 
Ya granite park was super sick when i went there. I talked to the park groomer and hes way cool and know what hes doing. He made all the boxes and rails for lutsen.
