Granite Peak, Wausau, Wisconsin

i cant speak for granite, spirit is sick lots of jumps, maybe they good make there kickers bigger and get more rail lines

open to public thursdays and fridays i think, my friends aunt works there so we get free tickets whenever jumps and pipe are world class jibs are pretty good

I'll second that. I go there all the time, and I've been to Sprit and to about every place in the midwest worth going to and granite takes the cake. Used to be cascade but they've gone down the tubes.

idk this year, they took out the "comp" park right above the chalet, which was everybodys favorite park to progress and just shred in general

now they took all the stuff out, put in a magic carpet, and now call it a bunny hill'

all the park stuff from that park is now on the east side, where theres shitty lighting and a slow-as-hell 2-man lift

idk what you're talking about. the slow double lift is over on donner and there isn't anything over there yet this year. they might put a 5+ jump line in later, which would make it worth the slow lift, but now all the park features are on the main sugar maple run and aspen which are right under the main high-speed six-pack.

i was there the tuesday and wednesday and the two jumps they have set up (15 ft at top and 25 ft midway down) are both solid. the lower one gives you enough air to do inverts and you could prob throw a 9 if you set it hard. also they have a good amount of rails and boxes up top on sugar maple and down on aspen including a dope urban get-on down rail and sick down-flat-C rail. the snow is shitty manmade ice, but still the park is fun. i only expect it to get better as the year progresses.

The park they had above the chalet isn't gonna be there this year, which means no slopestyle comps at granite, and that park had a lot of their decent rails in it, and the 20ft table was good for learning. According to the park crew they're moving most of those rails over to the east side, which, as I stated before, has a slow two man lift and the lighting is not the best

The park so far this yr is sick, I like the bottom jump and the new jibs in Aspen

I see what you mean. The park with all the flat boxes and a couple rails? And I don't really see how you can have a slopestyle comp with just a 20ft jump unless there were more...

But they could potentially have a comp if they built a jump on sky high (where I believe the bagjump is going this season) and have the run go down aspen. We'll see... Any reason you know of why the park above the chalet isn't gonna happen this year?
