Granite peak conditions

actually really fuckin good this year.

we got enough natural snow to cover almost all the tree runs, 3 parks are set up and all are good. should be a warm one up here this weekend so it shouldn't be overly icy on the main runs

the main/big park got rebuilt Friday with some crazy shit, but haven't got up there since to really check it out cuz I was at Boho but from the pics I've seen it looks rad

I hiked most of Granite in the late summer and the conditions were alright, still some snow. We failed because we tried to do it in one day. I would definitely not do it during March unless you're an experienced winter alpineer. The road to the trailhead is probably closed, requiring snowmobiles or an extra tenish miles of hiking through flat snow.

also how were the lift lines?

Never bad on week days but on the weekends the center 6 man lift and the 3 man are always kinda hectic but they don’t get unbearable, especially now that presidents weekend is over. The lift over by the main park on the east side never gets a big line

Dude it’s ass, I gotta teach ski lessons in this lmao, I heard it is gonna clear up in the afternoon for a while tho

Imagine being one of the poor kids, out there for one of their first times skiing, being miserable in the rain. That must really suck. Good thing they have a funny instructor who can hopefully make the best of the situatiob
