Grand Theft Auto V

supposedly it comes out may of next year?! that would be insane. I figured it would be next fall at the earliest.

Though I think rockstar tends to release games in the spring. At least gta iv was.

And this trailer had better be a good, long one. Not like the bullshit you have to put up with from modern warfare with a 2 minute trailer with nothing but a green line moving. I demand at least 1 car blowing up, 1 police chase, and either a plane or helicopter crashing.
 
1 and 2 look like gameboy gameboy games straight up. no idea why anyone would ever play them

come to think of it, a grand theft auto game with snow would be awesome. though changing the entire driving physics would probably be a pain.

But damn, an entire city that goes through seasons would be incredible. Would also add a lot more depth and realistic feel to the game. Better than being in a perpetual autumn.
 
they're having 4 trailers too (apparently), so dont be disappointed if the frst one doesn't show much.
 
trailer looks awesome. The detail in the city looks to be extremely well done again.

meh, other than some occasional n64 NFL Blitz or mario kart, I havent been into video games really since GTA IV came out. When I saw this thread I got kinda stoked, but that trailer didnt really do it for me, they literally said nothing about the plot of the game and other than better graphics, probably some multi player stuff, a different main character with some new weapons and cars, it is probably going to be the exact same game as the other ones.
 
Hell yeah back to San Andreas, so fucking stoked. A couple of the shots in the trailer that were around Venice were like spot on 100% instantly recognizable as Venice. Not just the obvious muscle beach shot but like that shot of the arches was obviously at Venice boardwalk. Looks like its going to be very well done. I'm hoping they recreate some of Venice's famous bums, like Hairy Perry who wears a turban and spends all day riding around on roller blades playing amazing Jimmy Hendrix-esque riffs out of a mini amp.

A couple thoughts:

1) Hearing rumors that you are gonna play as Tommy Vercetti.

2) There was a dog in the trailer, possible addition of animals?

3) Think they'll actually put Bigfoot in this time? Wasted days of my life looking for him in the last game.

4) That mountain looks fucking huge.

5) Windmills foreshadow San Francisco's inclusion, no shots that looked like Vegas to me.

that could be said for just about every video game ever.

I just looked back at the trailers for IV, and the first one literally panned out in the exact same way. They highlight the city and surrounding region with a voiceover from the main character.

The 2nd one is the one that really shows more.
 
ive only played these games a tiny bit screwing around, can you elaborate on this? did they hint bigfoot was somewhere but he wasnt?
 
a foreign based GTA would be awesome. A giant city/suburban area like london would kick ass.

I remember reading a few years ago that gta iv's liberty city was just a fraction of the size they could potentially create. And it looks like V has a bigger region. Though I hope the cities/towns are still large. Even the central cities in san andrea was downright tiny compared to gta iv.
 
yea, but the difference is that the vast majority of the san andreas map is blank, empty desert and forests. Liberty city is a giant, densely populated city with a ton of pedestrians and cars
