Grand Targhee

I'm heading out to Grand Targhee this winter and just looking for some more info about where to ski, inbounds or backcountry (if your willing to share).

Also, is there anything else around that area thats worth the drive to ride? (were doing a few days at Jackson Hole already)

Skiers right downhill off of Sacajawea lift has some good trees and drops. Love the Ghee, college spring break trips with our Boho deal were cheap and rowdy.

Also on days when powder is scarce Targhee's park is severely underrated. Lapping Dreamcatcher, nuking down the groomers to get to the park is a riot. Mandatory breaks every so often to get a beer (or in @Lonely and I's opinion a G&T) on the patio.

Awesome, thanks! I'm using my boho pass there this year. (also from Michigan.)

I love Targhee! Not as steep as JHole, but great conditions usually and way less crowded. I consider the Tetons my “happy place” and favorite place on earth. If only I had a gazillion dollars and could afford to live there.

Hey also coming from michigan via the boho pass... I was planning on spending a week just at targhee. Is this a mistake or should I try to get to jhmr. Will the ghee hold my attention

It absolutely will. Very few people, even on days with good weather/snow. Rad park, perfect groomers, and some sick inbound side country. I've headed out there 2 out of the last 3 years with [tag=243257]@Michigan_Sucks[/tag] and others and still have no problem going back for another year if it works out. Ghee is truly one of the most underrated NA resorts. Guess that's a side effect of being so close to Jackson.

G&T's are the way for me...just make sure to ask for the cheap stuff unless you want to pay 7$ for one. Mobbing down groomers at a million miles an hour is also a great warm-up for a sick park
