Grand Prix Mammoth 2012 ?

It's been upgraded to a world cup event, so this is the first olympic qualifying event for slope (2nd for pipe) ever. Everyone who made finals from X and Dew are here, along with a number of up and comers invited off the USSA list.Think of this as a comp that is as big as Dew tour if not bigger.

The course is fucking massive. 3 rails into the biggest 4 pack in a slope comp ever. The jumps are like 65, 75, 80, and 85ft respectfully from what I've heard, I don't know the exact measurements but from hitting them HOLY SHIT they are big.

Actualy it's the second FIS slopestyle comp. IT was FIS WC slopestyle in Jyväskylä Finland last weekend. Not many of the big names there but, AJ Kempainen,Pk Hunder, Colby West,Jesper Tjäder and Kai Mahler was there. It was kind of mini slopestyle with small jumps and funny rails. It was hard for the big guns to hit the slope in the beginning since they all where known to ski the big kickers in usa for the last two months but after some days of practis they were all in to the mini jumps. Cool comp but hopefully not the way FIS wil keep their slopestyle courses in the future.

The GP isn't televised live from what I can see. T.V. dates are for March 10 and later. Freeskier twitter page will have Live streaming of the scores though

Halfpipe qualifications are happening today.
