Ok so one night i was on the east side with one of my boys who is a blood gang meber or some shit idk, but we were tagging back allies and ventured into east side mafias (esm) side. Well i guess bloods and esm are battling over drug teratory, but he didnt give a fu*k he just wanted to get up, well anyways we went on this main street to catch a tag and when we went back into the alley there was two undercover cops and they started yelling at us, so we took off, we could have taken gold in the olympics, then we noticed we were deeper in the east side....big mistake...all of a sudden were being chased down by people from esm and th police so we dip into this abandon building and hide out, then when we come out to try and make back to the party we theft, i look around the corner of the building to see if it was clear and this black truck was sitting there lights off and shit and all of a sudden the lights flip on and tires are spueeling and were running again so we finaly made it back to the party and those under cover cops stop in front of the house (acting all ganster to not blow cover) and some people went out and almost started a fight then all night they kept cruising by lol made for a good edgy night......post you own comments or strory if you got any to share....oh and sorry about my poor grammar and everything lol
 
not really as wild as ur experience but it was my first time tagging

me and 2 of my friends have been planning to go tag for a while so we made some sick stencils and i have my backpack filled with spray paint and we bike off to the little shopping center type plaza we have 2 blocks from my house. We park our bikes behind this sketchy concrete stair well, i get the spray paint out and put it in a mcdonalds bag to make it not look like spray paint, i held the stencil up and right as i was about to spray it a rent accop that we hate came out of nowhere. we hate this guy he is such a dick he drove by and asked what we where doing. My mind was rushing, my heart was pumping then my friend said we where dropping off our bikes here so they wouldnt get stolen and we walked up the stairs. He parked his car at the top of the parking garage so we picked up our bikes rode to wal greens and tagged in the back. a great day
 
I have a question why are you using stencils? Just do a throw or a paint tag by freehand so much faster and looks so much better.
 
i have a really good bud who tags shit all the time. i was only with him once when he made a piece. It was at whistler skatepark. such dope work. Summer 2008
 
Haha this is funny I still live with my parents (yeah I know tell schools finished) they have no idea that I paint so one day my dad ( who is a cop which sucks)fell upon my personal stash of montana i have like 20 plus cans so no small stash plus a few on the runs. he asked me what it was for and i got away with telling him it was for art class
 
Believe me i know this and i agree with you 100%, but everyone has to start somewhere right, and whether you like it or not we were all toys at one point. The only way to get your hand style is by sketching and painting.
 
Yeah I know.

All the youtube/myspace/facebook toys just piss me off. This area has like 194 of them per square inch and its a white upper class area fo the most part
 
Like for example there is this kid whos tag is "scrilla" with quotes, halo and like 5 arrows

My point is keep it in sketch books untill your good enough and can do it all the time with out haveing to look at that sketch

Ya im toy as hell be the first to admit it, im the only one around my town doing what i do how i do sucks but it starts somehwere i dnt give a fuck what you say ill get up around here till i get good then go kill real towns, and do what i do.
 
Alright so ive been taggin for about 2 years, and about 3 months ago me and my boy went out and were killing shit all night, finally we stop at this one spot, that no one has hit before but everyone in my town always says would be sick if some one did, so we destroy it but with pieces not throw ups so it looks sick for everyone to see, next thing i know i finish up and start to walk away and a rent a cop turns the corner probably a foot in front of me screams hey what are you doing, so i flipped out and threw my paint can that i had in my hand at his face, and start dipping the other way. and after about a 20 minute run of jumping fences and hiding from lights scared they were cops we made it back to the car and drove the fuck home, 2 hours later we are about to go out to a party around 1130 at night and this cop shows up to my boys house, so his dad calls him down and he starts flipping out cuz his hand still has paint on it and im flipping out cuz i dont wanna get knocked, haha so i jump out his second story window and he sprays something on his wall with his left over paint mad quick, so im dipping through the woods and i got a call from him about 3 hours later saying we both got away with it cuz they couldnt put him at the scene cuz the rent a cop only saw me and im about a foot shorter then him so the description didnt fit, plus since he sprayed shit in his room he said thats how he got the paint on his hands..... hahaha dead ass story believe it or not
 
Ok i got a new one lol, so on saturday we were doing marker tags and stuff around the down town area, and later went to a new yard we discovered not to long ago thats on the north side, well after about 2 hrs we decided to leave, me and my friend were carrying bookbags full of paint, well when we were crossing the street to the car we crossed right in front of a fucking under cover cop, we got in the car and started driving not knowing where we were going and he was on our ass, we try'd to get on the highway and go home to get the cop out of his jurisdiction and my friend told me the wrong way so we had to get back off in mansfield again and right when we got intown 3 squads pulled up behind me and pulled me over. one came to my window one to the front of the car one at the passenger window one at my friends window in the back and two behind us yelling and shit thinking there getting some kind of drug bust, literaly pulled my other friends out of the car and we all got searched got my krink, mop, and other markers i had my 70 cans of paint and my fucking black book, then we got hauled off to the station and questioned and all that bullshit so far only have two tickets one for criminal mistchief and one for criminal truspassing, dnt kno when our court date is, oh and when we were in the station there were 3 shootings and they got a call that somone robbed the domino's on s main st shot a guy and stuffed in a freezer! damn and the cop was like now that i know what you write ive seen your shit a lot hahahaha

And even though they have your book and can prove what you write i hop you didn't admit to it, it could have been anyones
 
I just had it in my bookbag from school, cause i always draw at school and shit, didnt confess or say what i wrote they never even asked.
 
am i the only one on here smart enough to not post any pics or videos ANYWHERE? not a single person knows my tag name, only a few people even know i like graffiti, and none of them know i do it. shit im like a graffiti ninja.
 
I just go to this local beach that has a legal graffiti wall. Bring a cooler w/ some beers and a sandwich and post up for a few hours with some cans.
Pic I took a few years ago....I don't tag that much anymore, just mess around in my book and whatnot.

Many artists allow themselves to be featured on Art Crimes. They have links to their websites and many photos of their work. You might not know their real names, or any info but they still allow their work to be shared with the internet. If your good at graff it doesnt matter. I know plenty of local guys (dudes that graduated from my HS and now write for big crews in and around the greater San Francisco area) and they are not "ninjas" at all.

 
Well i mean there can be great reasons why you dont tell anyone, but if your puttin up some good stuff id say your running the game at the best of your ability.
 
Well when i was drawing it the light blue always pulled my eyes to the bottom of the piece, so i put the green out line around it and made it drip upwards so it pulled my eyes up to see everything.
 
Hmmmm, I see what you're seeing and it does indeed achieve that effect; however I think you could have been a little more creative and come up with something that fit better, you know? Something that didn't seem out of place.
 
Anything that wouldn't be out of place, something that would fit. I don't do grafitti too much outside of a few tags here and there in notebooks for funsies, so I'm not expert. I noticed you had done things with the corners - you could have extended that throughout the top of the picture, continuing that flow in one way or another. The idea of puzzle pieces popped into my mind, don't know why, but you may be able to do something with that.

The other thing would've been just to crop the top down a little bit - the picture is shifted a tad toward the bottom of the page, so to center it a little bit more would serve as balance.
 
to me it looks like the tag was stamped on like a sticker and then dragged down a bit, with the green being a smear of the base layer. could have been done better by a real talented tagger but i still like the idea of the effect.
i dont understand why people get so much hate for defying trends. what kid of growth can their be within something that is so heatedly debated to be a form of art if innovation is stifled?
fyi i dont graff and dont claim to be an expert on anything related to it. i do consider it art so long as it is tasteful. this is just my 2 cents
