Graffiti! I'm new

k first of all. there are about 3 people on this site any good at graff so dont even waste ur time.
do urself a favour...go to www.bombingscience.com im on it as much as NS.
graffiti does not promote gangs. graffiti does not promote violence.
real graff heads dont give two fucks weather people like it, hate it, think its art, or think its destruction. they do it for themselves and to represent their crews.
but for the sake of the discussion as drew pointed out...you cant define art or force it into one spectrum like people do when comparing it to graff/vandalism/whatever.
take ur head out of ur ass and think for urself instead of re-gurgitating(sp?) the medias warped message about what graffiti entails, who does it, and what it means.
 
word to all of this, although i think most of the media here in calgary is very por-graffiti. every time i see a story on graffiti in this city, it's always on the side of the bombers.
 
first of all bombing and piecing are two different things. Piecing takes certain skills, and bombing takes certain skills, you can't compare them. Bombing is an art on it sown and any good street bomber will tell you that.
 
yea recently graff has been used as a marketing tool by many companies so its advertised as more of a cool thing, but for the most part is all a bunch of 'christian fundamentalists'(+karma to whoever can note who said this and from what graffiti related movie) freaking out when someone tags up their building. like seriously. ow well what are u gonna do.

my ex is and was pretty up in mtl and he was a bomber and flat out said what he does isnt art. along with some of his friends. maybe some people do it as art, but a quick throw up aint art, but i said most dont consider it.

i also never compared. i was around the scene long enough to know im not a moron when it comes to this.
 
so what do you guys think of this first attempti know im a stupid toy, but i would like some constructive criticism(and i would like to be accepted into the graff cult, been pending for ages)

boy i love art.remember folks tagging, graf, and stenciling are all different things. i love tagging all over my shit, but im not dumb, i dont do it in public. join the graf. cult it might be dead tho. def one of my favorite forms of art, and trust me it is art
