SO true. maybe a little extreme but true. Also, don't waste your money on private colleges. Yes, they'll land you a better job right away, but you'll still have to work hard. and without a master's or MBA (in the business world) you won't get anywhere. Now getting THAT at a good school is important.
As for grades...good grades = money. In all aspects. I get scholarships without even applying for them now. I just get them for having the highest GPA in the program, in my class, etc. Employers don't want to hire idiots either. I'm 2.5 years into the program, working as an accountant already and just scheduled another interview with a CPA firm for some tax work soon. The chair of the accounting dept. just sent them my resume without me even asking for it.
