Grabs

Practice, bring the tails to your hand rather than vice versa, and don't call them iron crosses.
 
Wait till 180 before you initiate the grab.
Make sure you get the cross fully crossed before you go for the grab.
Bring the skis up to you.
Try to get your hands and arms to be as straight out as possible while grabbing your skis, which requires the aforementioned tip right above this one. That should help your balance situation.
 
Spotting a point at 180 helps me a lot. Sounds a bit doofy, but my old coaches were right. "Being able to spin and spot will make you grab a lot."

but yeah.. throw your grab later into your spin, around 180 ish.
