Grabs sending me off-axis?

It seems that i am unable to do certain grabs without offsetting my balance and dying. grabs such as nose grabs or anything where i tuck my skis up behind me seem to do the trick. i can tell my weight is uneven. am i doin something wrong or what? any tips on how to fix this?

try to grab without looking at your skis. when you do that your head moves and throws you off axis. try to anticipate the way grabbing will make you spin and try to compensate.

this is pretty normal..u just have to get comfortable with the grab while feeling uneven
when i started mutes i felt the same feeling and then when i got them on lockdown it was like i learned cork grabs by default from learning them on regular spins. pretty sick how it turned out haha
the key to all grabs is just practice practice practice and when you start to feel comfortable reaching anywhere while spinning it really opens up a whole new world aha
good luck tho

what they said, but id also say sometimes you should go with it. sounds like a leading safety would put you into a dope cork 3, or a tail would put you into a cork 5 or 7, maybe nose would get you bio. find a jump youre super comfortable on and start trying to exaggerate what the grabs do to you.

Move equally with your arms and legs. As opposed to just reaching and grabbing, move your legs up and arms down together. Keeps you more balanced

There is a combination of things that have been said in here.
Wait till you are at 180 before you start to grab. I think you might be trying to grab too early which is causing you to throw your shoulders down or whatever which way.
Bring your feet to your hands. Although reaching for your grabs might look steezier, when learning them bring the ski to your hands: tuck your feet, point your toes, whatever it takes.
Try and just smooth it out! This was my biggest problem, I used to force the grab so much i would always feel off balance. But if you just go off the jump and don't exaggerate your pop or your reach for the grab it will feel much more normal! Just chill in the air and take things easy.
