grabbing spins

Set more spin off of the jump than you usually would for the amount of spin that you are going to attempt a grab with. Keep looking over your shoulder, and if you spin left, grab with your right hand.

If you spin to the left, try a right handed safety grab. It's one of the easiest grabs to spin with and it looks cool.

ya just make sure that your not trying it with 2 feet of air, do it off the biggest jump you can find yourself, unless you live in whistler or somthing...

Do you feel like you're spinning straight up and down, body fully extended? It's hard to grab like that... and that's the way most people learn to spin, to start at least. Try bending your knees and tucking your legs up a bit as you spin; it will seem a bit weird at first, but when your body is condensed during a spin, your hands end up a lot closer to your skis, and a grab will come easier. Try going for a 180 or 360 safety- set your spin off the lip, then bring your knees to your chest and grab under your boot with your leading hand.

hey, do any of you guys have the problem of spinning say to your left but grabbing mutes crossing left over right? it find it extremely akward and often fall... besides goin the other way, any tips?

ya that took me awhile to learn you need to sorta pause your spin for a second, its hard to explain but its kinda like 180, mute, 180 not exactly but going off of bigger jumps helps...

i had the same problem for a long time. i either would miss the grab or get the grab and stop my rotation at about 270.

yea, when tried do mutes with spins at first, i always seemed to lan backseat, so, i leaned atiny bit when i jumped and that helped a ton... and my first 3 mute attempt i landed with my skis crossed, it sucked, safty is easier
